Infamous Announces New D1 Team: Chicago Infamous For 2013

Thought this would be useful to also post this announcement in here since it will get pushed down in the NEWS section.

Joliet, IL, December 19, 2012,CPX Sports. Team Infamous and CPX Sports announce formation of Division 1 team - Chicago Infamous.

On the heels of another successful season, team Infamous is making a strategic move during the off-season to increase the strength of their core by forming a new Division 1 team. They will be based out of the Chicagoland area and will be holding try-outs this winter at Chicago’s premiere indoor facility, O’Hare/CPX. Starting this Sunday 12/23/12, members of Infamous will be at Ohare looking for players to fill those D1 spots. Chicago Infamous will play out of the world renowned CPX Sports, home of the CPL, Living Legends, Infamous, Chicago Legend, and PSP’s Chicago Open.

Travis Lemanski, Captain for Team Infamous stated, “We’re excited to be working with CPX to build a strong Division 1 team which will enable us to best prepare for national tournaments. The ultimate goal is to create a hotbed for local tournament players and put midwest paintball back where it belongs, at the top. The D1 squad will also serve as a valuable talent pool that Infamous will use to cultivate players for the pro team. We will be announcing try-out dates very soon and encourage players to come out and participate this Sunday at Ohare Paintball. It’s going to be another great year for Infamous, Empire Paintball, and CPX!”

Team Infamous is one of the sport’s most successful paintball teams. Since forming in 2004, they have captured numerous paintball titles including recent wins at the NPPL Chicago Open as well as the PSP Chicago Open.

Ryan Spierowski, tournament operation manager at CPX Sports said, "Infamous and CPX continue to make moves that benefit all teams that play out of CPX while creating a clear path for local talent to make their way to the top of the sport. By having Infamous at our field, it has opened the door for other teams to learn from the pros and watch as they practice and prepare for events.”

Empire Paintball is a brand of KEE Action Sports LLC.
