Over the last couple months I had to really step back look at my life, my job that well was counting down, and my future for my family. With looking at all these things I new it was time for change and as hard as change is it can be good. At the end of the day it's my responsibility to do what I feel is best for my family and go where God opens doors to take care of them not just today but tomorrow and so on.*
Leaving XSV is one of the hardest emotional decisions of my life. I have been with XSV since day 1. You know I feel like when people think XSV they think of me and when they think of me they think XSV. I have made relationships that will last a lifetime, guys I consider family, guys that my family considers family. There are so many fans that have supported and followed XSV and I know they will continue as they have been the greatest fans of all teams over the years. I pray that the friends, family, fans that have become apart of my life with XSV will always be there and that even though it may hurt now that they know I love and appreciate them and that in life there are seasons/chapters and this is a new one at this time feels right.
There were many deciding factors that went into playing with and for Heat. A big factor is how much I respect them on and off the field. I met Sarge and. Mama D back before they brought Houston Heat to life. In fact one of the first times I met sarge I was in Canada for cxbl and my anniversary and him and mama d let us stay at a place they had for business at the Niagara falls where we were planning on going for our anniversary. When it comes to paintball, I have watched how they run there team like a family, like a well oiled machine, how they put there players in the best position to win with practice, preparation, fitness, and mind set. Playing on Houston Heat is going to be a fun and exciting challenge that I look forward too.*
I want to let everyone know also how great JT Splatmaster is for our sport. All fields and stores should be behind this to grow their business and our sport. If you could only imagine if we had been bringing in new younger players into our sport for the last ten years the size it would be now!*
To His Glory*
You are an awesome player Thomas! Highly respected players like you don't come often and I am glad you make your decision with courtesy & respect & acknowledging the best for your family. Change isn't always a bad thing. Best of luck to you!
