HPA tank hydro testing in TN

Is there anywhere in Tennessee (preferably East TN) that re-tests tanks? I'd like to keep my business local if possible.

Foxtrot, is this the place you're thinking of: http://www.simplexgrinnell.com/Pages/default.aspx

If so, I'll call them in the morning. Also, do you remember if they tested while you wait or did you mail it in? What was the turn around time?

im just down the road from them so i drove up and dropped it off, it depends on how busy they are and how many things they have lined up. its been a while but i want to say it took between a week - 2 weeks for them to get it back to me. i will say this, DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR REG OR THEY WILL SCRATCH THE @*#& OUT OF IT. i was rather livid when they did that to my myth.

There is a place in Townsend that does it for 30 dollars a tank, I believe that is the one Glenn went to. If we are speaking of the same Glenn. It is in between maryville and Sevierville

You can take it to Insane in Chattanooga or there's a place in downtown Chattanooga that does fire extinguishers, etc. and has a 1-day turnaround.

To answer my own question, I used Waters Tool and Hydro in Walland, TN. I'd highly HIGHLY recommend Mr. Waters, as he was extremely accommodating and did a great job taking care of the regs on my tanks. He met me near campus to pick-up the tanks, tested them the same day, and had them back to me that afternoon. Yes, an 8 hour turnaround time and he did a substantial amount of driving to coordinate the drop-off/pick-up. $35 per tank.

Also, this is the guy that Hiatt's Paintball refers their customers to if you'd like to hear another voice vouch for Mr. Waters.

There is a fire and sprinkler place in Nashville that does it. They mainly do fire extinguishers and things of that nature and do not advertise PB tanks so you may be able to find one in your area that does the same.

Update on tank worx.:-)
20$ hydro on scuba or Hpa paintball tanks
5$ dollar scuba fill after hydro.:-)
That's sweet I'm going Monday to drop off a few scubas for hydro and air fills.I've been paying 9$ a fill on my Hpa paintball tanks plus my fuel getting to local shop usually costs me about 17$ a trip for a tank fill.my scubas gonna be way cheaper to use.I know I'll be getting 3000 psi fills that drop off a little each fill but I do a lot of test and tuning .

yeah that's not too bad at all. I believe the place in Nashville costs $30 to re hydro. I have also paid $20 to fill a 68/4500 to 3000 at a scuba shop before when I had to have it and no fields were in my area at the time.

Yeah it gets outta hand with fills going for 9$ then paint running 60$ plus tax.I gotta save $ where ever I can when possible. I like supporting local fields when I can but cases of paint and Hpa fills need to drop a bit in cost.I used to go to big events that averaged 700 to 900 players a few years ago but now the same events only about 250 to 425 show up these days.
