SO! We're currently deployed to Afghanistan so obviously we don't have a field to play at. Most of my team consists of walk-ons that have next to nil experience on the field. All we've had are some music videos and one guy bought dysected part 2. I've got about 4 or so years of low end tournament experience under my belt although, it's been over 7 years since I've competed. We really want to roll out of the gate with everyone pretty much on the same page. So my question is, what subjects are vital these days for new ballers entering competition play? Seems like the sport hasn't changed much since 06. And would anyone know of a digital field maker available for MAC that I could use to explain various field set ups, lanes, off the break, early game and late game concepts?
All of us are Infantry so shooting lanes and moving etc. are all pretty much embedded in their brains.
Communication is key. The fact that all of you are in the military gives you a huge advantage in that area. Develop a key for calls on the field like Kill 1, Kill 2 but in your own code and get everyone familiar with it for starters!
