**New Series - Carolina Cup**

Larry Motes is making a HUGE comeback in Carolina paintball, bringing it back to the grass roots, old school days.

The series will be named: Carolina Cup.

Stay tuned for more info to come soon as this series locks in dates/locations and finalizes event format and particulars.

You guys are going to LOVE IT!!!!!

And you sure as heck won't want to miss out.

Let's show Larry and the crew he is assembling the love, as he makes his triumphant return to his faithful followers.

Larry was and will now be AGAIN, what Carolina paintball is ALL ABOUT.

Carolina Cup Paintball, the FIRST and ONLY choice of champions.

I'm pumped and ready!

Are you?

Sneak Peek #1

Scuba Steve Burkett will be the Ultimate Judge for the series. Scuba has always been fair and impartial and overall, he is a likeable guy.

For everyone that knows Scuba, you know his qualifications and you know that this decision assures a strong base for officiating.

For everyone else who may not know Scuba, his qualifications for the position are as follows:

Former United States Marine (That should be enough in itself)

Began playing competitive paintball with Chain Reaction in the CFOA Novice division in 2000.

Made the jump to the CFOA Amateur division to play with Team Ambush in 2001 and Evil Ambush in 2002.

Scuba started his officiating career in 2003.

From 2003-2010, Scuba served as a Head Judge in the CFOA series.

In 2005, Scuba became the first CFOA Judge to accepted a position as a professional Judge in the PSP Pro (NXL) division.

Scuba has judged countless other Pro, D1 and D2 level PSP events during his tenure.

In 2006, Scuba also served as Ultimate Judge in the CFOA.

Scuba was also an intergral part as team leader, of the first season of statistical analysis capture for PBAccess in the PSP Professional division.

2013 brought Scuba to serve as Ultimate Judge for the MAPL Series out of OXCC in Chesepeake City, MD.

So, there you have it. Scuba Steve Burkett will be you Carolina Cup Series Ultimate Judge.

Sneak Peek #2

Carolina Cup Inaugural Event #1 will be held at Glory Road Paintball, 4209 North Rocky River Road, Monroe, NC 28110 on April 6, 2014.

The series format will be a modified 5 man race to 2 format with NO COACHING! More info to follow!

Rosters will be capped @ 6 players.

Absolutely NO APPA ID card will be required (You will still need to provide the series with a print out of your APPA history) More info to come on this.

12.5 BPS PSP ramping mode will be utilized and enforced.

There will be ABSOLUTELY no banned colors for equipment/clothing. If you have a bright orange DM14 or a flourescent yellow set of cleats, bring them! No worries.

Rosters may be assembled based on a total team points value in lieu of divisional level exclusions therefore, ALL DIVISIONS can play in any combination as long as your team points value is below the set team threshold. This will provide a unique and level playing field where literally any team has a legitmate shot of placing well. More info to follow on this!

The field will be staffed by a minimum of (8) highly trained, experienced and certified judges. If you have been playing competition paintball locally for any length of time, you will see A LOT of familiar faces among this crew!

Carolina Cup Series will be awarding COLD HARD CASH prizes to 1st-3rd place positions at every event. These cash awards WILL NOT be determined by a minimum number of teams participating. They are GUARANTEED!!! Who doesn't like cash back in their pocket after playing hard all day? Along with the cash payouts, Carolina Cup will also be providing event specific awards to commemorate each event.

Website and social media pages forthcoming!

So, there you have it guys and girls. This is what you have all been asking for. Larry has heard the voices and he is catering a series to ALL comers. No player will EVER have to worry about being ranked out of the series, not having a place to play or if there will be enough teams to hold an event.

Start planning.

Start assembling!

Let's do this!!!!!

Sneak Peek #3

Field layouts will NOT be released!

Fields will be constructed on Saturday, the day before the tournament.

Old school Carolina paintball style right there!!!

This will allow for a truly even look at the field, for all players/teams. The "rich" fields will no longer have the luxury of constructing a similar layout a week or two before the tournament and allowing their field teams to practice beforehand.

Also, this series IS NOT practice for any other series. None of the layouts will reflect any upcoming tournament for any other series. Carolina Cup is a stand alone entity with core principles of providing an uncomparable experience to the end user. Carolina Cup intends to be your first choice for competitive paintball!

The idea will be to show up Saturday after the fields are constructed to see the layout. Or, come early enough on Sunday morning to walk the fields.

Everyone will be in the same boat. Its time to learn the field on the fly, like it used to be! The strong teams will rise to the top.

Sneak Peek #4

Carolina Cup is pleased to announce (2) options for Tournament Entry.

Carolina Cup Entry fee will be: $250.00/Team if utilizing the Field Paint Only Option.

Teams may also bring their own paint (BYOP) provided that the paint is PEG based, non-staining and the fill is not Red, Pink or White in color.

Please keep in mind, Carolina Cup Series and Glory Road Paintball reserve the right to inspect any non-field paint intended for use during a Carolina Cup event and any paint found to be below the standard for use is subject to rejection. Further, if a team is found to be utilizing non-compliant paint during the tournament, said team may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including expulsion.

If a team elects the BYOP Option, the Entry Fee will be: $350.00/Team.

Teams may purchase paint onsite at a rate of:

$35 - Bronze or Equivalent

$40 - Silver or Equivalent

$50 - Gold or Equivalent

Paint availability may be sourced from Kee, GI Sportz or Valken lines, or any combination therein.

There will be NO ENTRY LATE FEES!!!!

Carolina Cup understands the sometimes cumbersome task of collecting player money and will not impose a penalty at any time.

Roster Submission (For Preliminary Approval) and Entry Fee payment are due no later than (1) week prior to any tournament date. No exceptions!!!

Teams may make changes to their roster, without penalty, up to and including team sign in and registration completion the morning of the tournament.

Roster changes are subject to team point cap compliance and will be reviewed by Carolina Cup personnel prior to approval.

Stay tuned for more info to follow and check out our Facebook and Twitter Pages @ Carolina Cup.

There is also more information posted in the NC and SC subforums. We hope to see some of our long lost Tennessee brethern and sisters come back and join us.

**Carolina Cup - Dates & Entry Fee Lottery**

Carolina Cup Series is pleased to announce the following (5) dates for the Inaugural season of the series.

All (5) events will be held at Glory Road Paintball - 4209 Rocky River Road, Monroe, NC 28110

Event #1 - April 6, 2014

Event #2 - June 8, 2014

Event #3 - July 13, 2014

Event #4 - August 23, 2014

Event #5 - November 2, 2014

And with an innovative and new approach to competition paintball, Carolina Cup Series is pleased to announce the first of its kind, an Entry Fee Lottery!!!!!

The lottery will work as follows:

The team name of the FIRST 25 teams to register and pay their entry fees will be entered into a drawing at the Captain's Meeting. There is no additional cost to the team to win.

The team name will be randomly pulled out of a hat and the team announced will promptly be rewarded with their ENTIRE ENTRY FEE RETURNED (Maximum value of $250.00), in CASH of course!!!!!

The captain (And only the team captain which is designated on the roster) of the team MUST be present for the team to win (So it is important that every team captain attend the Captain's Meeting). Also, their must be a minimum of 25 teams registered and paid for the lottery to be held.

How awesome is this?!?!?!?!?!? Never been done or offered!!!

No other series offers this to its player base. None!!! Carolina Cup is the FIRST and ONLY series that understands that without your participation and without providing you with the impeccable value and customer service you deserve, they would not be here. You as players and teams, are the backbone of the series and the reason it exists. What better way to show that appreciation than by offering you an opportunity to put that entry fee money right back in your pocket?

So, be among the first 25 teams to enter AND pay your entry fee and have a 1 in 25 chance to get your entire entry fee (Maximum $250.00 value) returned back to you! It's really that simple.

Carolina Cup mandates that at least 25 teams must register and pay for the event for the lottery to take place. Further, in order for a team to be eligible to win the lottery, the team captain for the team name drawn MUST be in attendance at the Captain's Meeting. No other representative of the team is eligible to claim the prize. If the team captain is not present, additional team names will be drawn until someone wins and claims the prize.

Additionally, entry fee return is based on a maximum of $250.00 cash value. If a team utilizes the BYOP option, the surcharge of $100.00 for this option is the sole property of Glory Road Paintball and is not subject to return.

Hello My Southeast Ballers and Everyone Else Wanting to Claim The CROWN

I'm proud and excited to bring a local paintball tournament to southeast Louisiana. It has been long past due and all my southeast ballers can be assured I'll be hosting more in the near future. The first event I'm introduces is a 3-man open, something nice and simple everyone can appreciate with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

There will be no division 1 players or higher and also there will be no coaching. I want to keep the sidelines friendly and let the players on the field actually play without that little voice in their ears.

Registration have started so get signed up and secure your spot to claim The CROWN and the cash.

Email me at and I'll send you a registration form.

You can send the registration fee to me by paypal at be sure to email me to confirm the receipt

You can also hand deliver a check or cash; preferably check, in a sealed envelope to Paintball Command's front desk; make check payable to Stuart Ridgel. Inside have your registration form filled out and on the envelope write 3-man open + team name. Also email me at to notify me of your registration.

***Do not mail any payments. I will not be responsible for any lost packages.

This is going to be a great event! I'm making it the best and have put a lot of time and effort into it already. This is for all my southern ballers in need of competing in a tournament.

Any questions, concerns or suggestions call or email me. All my information is on the documents above and on the attached file.

It is going to be on April 13, 2014
