What o-ring in a DM's regulator can cause this kind of velocity issue without a leak? I'll give you a hint: none.
actually chris pretty much insinuated that he was there and the other kid wasn't.

Yes, but the reg seat is actually the culprit. That's the piece that when it doesn't seal correctly, it won't cause the regulator to leak but instead to creep and cause velocity to rise. A reg seat is not an o-ring but I can see how the mistake could be made, especially to someone not tech minded or who doesn't speak English as a first language.

So, what is the definition of an o-ring John?

the top oring is in the reg to create 2 sealed air chambers, which the reg seat controls the flow between. the reg seat is responsible for creep.

You nailed it ccluff2.

Heh. At minimum I'd say it is a donut shape. A reg seat is generally a solid puck or ball.

Edit: in all fairness, the reg seat on an Axe, Unireg or Automag does have a hole in it and aren't o-rings either. I could see someone mistaking one of those for an o-ring more easily. But I can't see someone informed making the mistake going the other way and thinking a solid piece is an o-ring.

Agreed

However, I think it's semantics to debate whether it was an o-ring or another type of seal allowing for the regulator to creep..... it hides the real purpose of the posts on the topic.

undrdg - I'm glad you deleted that post because it was wrong once again. I removed my quote of it when I saw you deleted it yourself.

I agree. But in this case it actually shows Raehl was informed and correct about the subject and to twist it around and try to pretend that it shows he is incorrect is plain backwards.

John
i removed the post because i wanted to reword it. I was trying to re read what you mean. the link i posted is to a breakdown of the hyper 3 reg. The part i am refering to is the ORing h-118 b70 - brown. Part #r10220018.

That is the oring the ton tons where referring to. that is the one that was nicked.

If you are guilty go run off and play millennium. If you are innocent take your lumps and come back motivated to win, and prove why you deserve to play in the best league in the world.

***** please... they are one of the longest lasting franchises in the sport. Furthermore if this was a real professional sport they could sue the psp for the loss of profit(sponsors didn't pay up). however this is paintball so hopefully they work something out with psp behind the scenes.

I see no issues at all with the Ton Tons opinion of how this all went down. They're right. Of course they should have got the penalties and lost the game(due to their lack of gun attention), but all the other accusations are unfounded. Aftershock also had guns doing the exact same thing. No matter what the accusation, it would have to apply to both teams. Really, sitting on the sidelines yelling obscenities when an american team had guns pulled for the very same reason? That's just plain ignorance.

I should also point out that leaving a gun on the ground in the sun for 15 minutes, that already has reg creep(or not) will intensify the effect quite a bit(more heat = more pressure). Apparently the guys running PSP don't understand how paintball guns work.

Sad to see Ton Tons drop out but I have to support their decision. I would have pulled my team out too. Why give your money to guys who are calling you cheaters and liars based on opinion rather than facts? No way you're ever going to get fair treatment from that point on.

Good luck no matter what you decide Ton Tons.........oh and try not to chrony too close to the line in the future lol.
