Question Last Effort - Leak Down Barrel, Tried Everything

Hope the FEP community is still out there, tried several troubleshooting steps from all the forum posts and can't get it resolved....

Dust Olive Quest is massively leaking down barrel. Was working just last week, until 2 minutes into the first game, a slow leak down barrel. After a few shots, major leak down barrel, goes through 4500 tank in seconds.

Tried the following:

1. Backed out HPR and LPR screws to flush. Screw in nitrogen tank, turned HPR screw in 3 past flush. Slowly screwed in LPR, and immediately air leaks down barrel. A lot. Try to screw in LPR enough for bolt to cycle, and will fire, but leak continues until all tank empties in less than 30 seconds.

2. Replaced ALL Bolt and Bolt Pin O-Rings. Applied Hater Sauce liberally to bolt and bolt pin o rings. Bolt shows no physical damage minus some small scuffs at front of bolt since gun was purchased

3. Replaced all HPR and LPR o-rings, including between upper frame and LPR housing.

4. Replaced LPR valve core with new "volvo" schrader valve. (have not replaced HPR valve, however swapping out HPR with another reg produced same leak)

5. Fresh battery

Anyone have any ideas what's left to check or do?

I'd recheck and replace/relube the front bolt and pin orings.... again and maybe again if that doesnt work.
Are you seeing any rise in your lpr guage?

what kind of output pressure are you getting from your tank?

Will try replacing/relubing front bolt and pin orings again, even though I just put the brand new ones on Friday.

LPR Gauge - things get crazy cuz the air leaks like nuts, but it seemed I was able to turn in the LPR screw and while leaking/firing, got different readings as trying to screw in/out. The bolt was cycling/firing as I went from no air, to twisting in LPR and getting leak, to twisting in LPR more and getting bolt to cycle. It's tough as the air leaks so quick, hard to test without dedicated air.

Don't have a gauge on the HPR, it was previously attached to an asa, but pulled it thinking it might be an issue too, it's attached to a direct mount at the moment.

Swapped the tank to an axe and works fine. Just thinking out loud here, what would cause/how does air make it all the way out through the upper marker body by just opening the LPR valve barely....

If you lp gauge goes sky high then you likely have lp and hp mixing somewhere

Is the only thing preventing Lp and hp from mixing, the bolt and pin o rings?

The LPR schrader valve, the middle bolt o'ring and the bolt pin shaft o'rings (mainly the rearmost one).

what tax said...

If both the regs you have tried are set up with an output lower than say 200 you could get a leak down the barrel.
prob not the case but maybe?

are we 100% sure the leak is down the barrel?

Have to go get more air the weekend.

Re: leak down barrel, when placing finger down feed neck, air can be felt coming out.

Sounds like HP side air, you'll probably have to replace the front bolt pin o'ring or the front bolt o'ring.
