New Azodin ZII Paintball Marker With OLED

The ZII is the pinnacle of design and performance for the stack tube blow-back platform.

When the ZII was developed, we focused our efforts on improving its operation and performance.

The result was the creation of the Zen OLED board and the ZeRO-D system.

The Zen OLED board is the conscious of the ZII and is the first user programmable board on an Azodin marker. The board features new logic which helps to prolong battery life and decrease voltage requirements.

The ZeRO-D system is the soul of the ZII and threads directly onto the body. The new design improves the durability of the ZeRO Housing and it allows for quicker maintenance of the ZeRO-D System. When paired with the Mass Flow Valve, the ZerRO-D lowers the operating pressure of the ZII.

The ZII showcases Azodin’s next generation of markers and establishes new performance benchmarks for the STBB Platform.

ZII Features:

Azodin is about to release their newest paintball marker, the ZII. It looks similar to the Zenith and the Blitz, but this new marker has something special.

It costs around $300-$350, but it comes with an OLED board and a heavily ported two piece auto cocker threaded barrel with a .689 bore size, something you usually only see on markers that cost around $1000. This is going to be the only "low end" or "beginner" paintball gun that comes stock with a high quality OLED board. Customers sometimes pay extra money for a "high end" paintball marker just because it has an OLED or LCD screen, now they don't have to, it is included with a gun that costs a fraction of the cost.

Does ZII stand for Zenith II, the second generation of the Zenith model?

Take a look at the pictures below, what do you think about this marker? Do you think it is going to be a popular seller for Azodin or just a one hit wonder?

Props on that OLED board. Makes Dye and Luxe feel silly for not including that in their 1000+ guns

nice I like it a lot. oled board. clamping feedneck, on/off ASA. I mean the only thing that it needs is a smooth shot and it's right up there with the high ends

I don't think it's going to have a "smooth shot" only because its a stack tube blowback marker (like a Spyder), but I definitely think that Azodin is improving with the technology they put into their markers. Maybe one day they will release a high end, maybe even a spool.

Way to go Azodin. Stepping it up.
Hope their quality control goes up with it. (been fixing a lot of theirs recently)

I never understood why OLEDs cost a premium. They are pretty cheap to manufacture and implement these days. Props to Azodin for putting high end features in a low cost package. Hopefully it shoots well.

I am a big fan of the modern budget markers. If people are willing to set vanity aside, there are a lot of mid range and even low end markers that shoot great.

The shot quality of the ZII is a huge improvement from previous Azodins and Spyders. Kick and sound signature are much improved(for those of you who care about that) and the barrel is very accurate. Theres very little downside to this marker. They kept the same style grips from the Zenith/blitz which would have been a simple fix, but still not a huge problem. Added a clamping feedneck which holds incredibly tight to my rotor. And like said before the OLED, it really works for you, it can be personalized to the player. It can show you any stat about your game that you will ever need, and has numerous firing modes. No longer need to send your board off for flashing like the older zen2 boards. And a nice little feature they added is a tool less cupseal replacement. The zero system threads right out of the front, no need to pull the reg off. Its supposed to be released with a $300 price range, with that leaves competition of the G4/5, mini, and etek. As you saw i shot a g4 spool-blowback sound comparison, not a whole lot of difference considering the design difference from a spool to stbb. I should have some action videos of the ZII from a few games this weekend

It's hard to tell because we don't know what FPS the guns were at, and we didn't see a decibel meter. Video camera microphones auto level quite a bit, so we can't really make any assumptions about the sound.

set to around 270-275. blitz, g4 and zii
[b]And of course the zii is louder but its very much impoved from older markers, both comparison videos shot were with my phone. [/B

Etek's are $499-$649, so $400-$600 dollar price range while this is at $300; totally out of it's price range.

Makes it seem sad that a $300 dollar gun can have these features and $1000 dollar ones still don't.

I'm not really a fan of the luxe boards, if they had an OLED they would be much better. It's a hassle when going through the settings, having to listen to the board and what it says rather just reading it quickly off a screen. It takes so much more time changing modes and settings on the luxe than it should.

thats true. And price is a factor. But if it wasn't, would the etek be competition to the ZII in your eyes?

Not really a new concept though, visual display components have ALWAYS been cheap:
