Horizontal tank pouch question

Hi all.

I'm running a remote with a horizontal Valken V-Tac tank pouch on my back. Is there a way to secure it more so it doesn't flop up and down when I move or run?

Or is this just the nature of horizontal tank pouches? Any mods I can do to make it move less?

Or is it the molle on the BT vest I use (since it's attached to mesh and not something more rigid)?

Thanks

I had attempted to strap the Dye tank pouch horizontally on my harness and encountered the same problem. Eventually I just gave up.

Maybe the paintball gods just don't want us strapping-up tanks sideways.

Yeah, cause of the shape it just wants to roll up and down. It never wants to cooperate.
The only way I can think of is if you used it with a vest and attached a strap from the vest down to the tank pouch to pull the tank upwards. Then it wouldn't bounce down because of the strap holding it. It would still bounce a tiny bit but it would be millimeters of movement rather than inches. But that seems like a lot just for a tank pouch.

I have a Full Clip vest with horizontal tank pouch. It has 4 straps on the pouch along with a draw string to close the pouch. If I knew how to post pics I would but the tank never moved.

Not the picture, but that doesn't mean it isn't the pouch.

I had the same issue with my V-Tac pouch and Echo vest. I put the tank pouch on the top two rows of MOLLE straps and sewed the pouch to the vest where it overlaps the shoulder straps. The straps offer a lot more support than the backing mesh the MOLLE mounts are attached to.

It still bounces a little, but much less than before. Of course, I can't take the pouch off anymore, but I have no reason to.

The other option I considered was to run straps from the top of the shoulders over the tank, attaching to the bottom to take the weight off the MOLLE mounts and mesh.

I took your idea and tried it myself and it seemed to work pretty well.

I used one of the middle straps to wrap around the tank normally. I then took the other 3 straps, weaved them through the molle, came out from under the tank then up and anchored them about 3 rows up without going back through pouch if that makes sense. Seems pretty snug and doesn't seem to move much at all when jumping up and down. Maybe I'll go for a jog and see how it holds up long term lol.

Thanks for the great suggestion

Played on Saturday and was snug enough that I didn't notice it bouncing at all. Thanks again for the pro tip!
