A great looking gun imho.

Estimated pricing is a bit much for me, but if Milsig can sell markers for over 1k, why not Dye.

As a milsim player it's missing 2 main things:

- 13ci stock tank or similar
- true 20 round mags - 10+10 is ok for FS but an annoying disadvantage for regular paint in magfed only games.

As a woodsball player it's pretty nice if pricy and bulky. This marker is best at switching between FS and regular paint and that's where its niche will be, not true magfed players.

As a speedballer it obviously doesn't really apply, but with the stock and shroud off I'd rock it :p. Hoping there's a way to use PSP modes etc., and hoping someone releases an OLED board for it (I'd want an oled board even in magfed only games).

Overall it's great but it's not quite there for the magfed market. Just that mag holds it back. A rap4 style 20 round mag would be much more reliable in a marker with eyes so I hope they release one soon.

I did this comparison picture on the DAM's bolt system between the BW Reflex bolt and a screen grab from one of the DAM breakdown videos. I thought you guys might find it interesting...

Personal opinion about it is that Dye has or will meet the needs of both style of players and i hope more will follow. Got to remember each to their own for markers and equipment. As long as it puts the paint to the target I'm down with it. Its nice to have the option for a mag feed as well as a loader feed so no matter who you are ballin with, you can switch to a more fair style of play.
All in all I am glad a reputable company is buying in to more styles of players.

After I get my real M4 and shotgun I'll be snagging a DAM in dyecam/multicam, I think.

I might even run remote to a tank on my harness... good thing the UWL is getting popular!!

I'm very happy to see this marker out, but I just wish that it was more then a dressed up reflex rail.

A bit pricey for me, too! The thing with speedball vs. woodsball markers is that they ARE NOT interchangeable. Sure the speedball gun can be used in the woods with only the bright colors to contend with. Woodsball markers with remote lines, stocks, single triggers ( well not all are present for every marker but enough ) make it a hindrance to play tight.

Guys do cross over all the time from one style to the other, but the bigger disadvantage goes to woodsball in speedball play.
