my 5.0 has big problems here....
It fires every now and then,
it will fire only once and make that sound like it's farting with no recock,
regulator gauge busted a week into use,
the spring that is on the top of the trigger (no idea what is was for) bent and dissapeared.
and lastly the manual was lost, stolen, eaten, or went back to Hades...I don't know...where can I find one online??

sounds like your hammer is sticking. You should clean and lube your marker after each use. (bet that'll fix your problem) and from what you described, I bet if you look at the backside of your valve its probably got a little rust on it too.. (fixed tons of guns like yours)

it might also be that you tightened off the regulator so once you gas up you'll let a little bit of gas in but not enough to recock it so its just sputering out.

Question 1: maybe some one has already answered this one because i think i heard it asked, but every once in a while the bolt wont cock back all the way now i did put a non venturied stock spyder bolt in the gun and it has a madman red main spring kit that has been replaced now is this purely a lubrication problem or is it something else?

I figured I would add my two cents to this so here it is.
PB GUN OIL SUCKS! Use crisco vegatable shortening. You might think I'm stupid but it accually works better by far than the pb gun oil. Also I know a lot about spyder clones so if you pm me I would be very happy to answer your questions. No gaurenties (however you spell it) though.

was it actualy regulating the preasure? could you adjust it? if you can, then the reg eather needs new o-rings or it just plane sucks. Mine works fine so... If you want to try the new o-rings just call jt up and ask to speak to the marker technition and ask for a regulator rebuild kit. he will ask for your address and will ship it right to you. if it doesn't adjust than it could be one of a few different problems so tell me.

no it never really adjusted. it just kept it at 800 then when i tried to replace the reg it started a slow leak
where the bottom half pivots
if you ask me its a really cheap design.

I noticed on mine that in the bottom of the regulator piston (the piece stuck in the part that screws in to the gun) there is a hole. It isn't supposed to be there. There is supposed to be a black plun in it (really just a piece of black plastic). If there isn't than thats what you need. If you have it than you probably just need a rebuild kit from jt. Tell me if thats the problem if you have the time.

YES! That is exactly what happened to me! I took it apart to look at it and could not fiqure out where it went back in. As of last week I realized what it was and where it went. I'v had the gun for nearly a year now and I did it when I first got it. But yeah all you really need is a piece if plastic to cram in there. Wow. lol

Yeah. I thought about the pure energy reg does it work well? The reason i thought about it is because it is half the price of most regulators now days. I'm wanting to go low preasure too.

dont waste your time its exactly the same as the stock reg but it has a little more flow to it because it dosn't look like a pin valve top with the pin removedits just opened but i seriously havn't ever gotten it to work.
