Bolt Action Rifle

Hey guys I want to dive in and make my own bolt action rifle. I'm going to have it resemble the R700. My only specs on it really is that its bolt action and it is fed by a magazine.

I'm posting here because I wanted your thoughts on what would be the best marker platform to use to drop into the stock?

I have cocker bodies laying around I don't mind cutting up, just not sure how I would do the magfed conversion for it.

After I have everything complete I will open source the project if anyone else would like a guide on how to build one.

I'm also going to try to see if I can also get a 13 or 17ci tank into the stock so it is a complete system.

Check out M Carter Brown forums, theres a few bolt and lever action rifles built there, mostly using old Nelson style pumps
If you want to start with a brand new marker look at the Kingman Hammer 7
around $140 new,mag fed for First strike or paintballs,I have one and love it!

I built a bolt action rifle out of a model 98. it wasnt easy and making it mag fed would be a bit harder too. I would suggest getting a hammer 7 and modify it to fit into a stock, wouldnt be that hard.
Pump play is the only way.

by bolt action do you mean like a real bolt action or just manually cocking it every time with the exsisting bolt? if you can make one that functions like a real steel action that would be insane.
