I COULD stuff a cheesburger in it....

Then you haz cheezbooger!!

The reg leak was taken care of, it wasnt "internal" like in the drive train. We went with a different reg seat. It wasn't a huge problem, but one we thought we should look at......

I want another one but I like my Etek2 too much to justify it... Dammit. Yep, this is an OT post... kinda.

So......has anyone done any efficiency modding yet?

Anything cool at all? Come on guys......lol.

I can't squeeze out enough shots on a 3000 or under fill yet to justify buying one of these. Even though I want to try one. Give me hope!

From a 3k fill on a 48/45 I was able to get two pods and a hopper with about 450 PSI left, so it's actually pretty good when it comes to shots. Not really sure how many shots you need to get though.

I don't know about a 3000 fill but I shoot 9 pods and a hopper with a 68/4500.

Yeah it was doing pretty good for me with my 77/45. Could shoot 7 pods and a spire and still have plenty of air left..

I shoot a 68ci tank.

So my best case scenario is a hopper and 4 pods at best and it will go down from there. That sucks. It's not totally horrible, I've see much worse but it looks like I'll still be stuck with a poppet gun I suppose.

Or......I buy one anyway and experiment lol.

Any ideas to a solution to the Freeze Up during rapid, prolonged firing? Mine gets frosty during a long PSP point when I have to hold a lane or two for 5-6 pods worth of shooting.

Valve/dump chamber is COLD, as is the barrel and ASA.

I was thinking about that the other day. I mean you could lube the reg/asa with dow33 or something cold friendly I suppose. That should keep the regulator working better in the cold, since oil can gunk up when the temperature gets too low.

As for the actual temperature....it's pretty tough since the reg is trapped in the grip frame, which is somewhat insulated by the rubber grips and your hand.

Maybe custom metal panel grips with some deep groves to allow air in there and more heat to conduct to the regulator. Maybe changing your tank out put pressure so the regulator doesn't have to work as hard. Maybe a CF barrel so it doesn't suck as much heat from the actual gun during rapid fire? I'm pretty much talking out my (_)_) on this one.

It's not that it freezes solid but if you dump a lot of paint without stopping the gun can get very very cold. Colder than most other guns. I wonder if integrating the regulator into a composite grip frame would help at all? If it's even possible.

My Mini's reg turned solid white and was covered in frost after a solid lane of two pods and a hopper... Same thing happened to my Ion back when I had it. To be honest the Proton wasn't very bad when it comes to the reg getting cold. Hell, my tank reg got way cold before the gun reg did. Yeah, you notice it more since you kind of have to hold the reg in your hand, but it's not really much worse than any other gun.

With the way the air flows through these lineless guns anymore, your going to have freeze up. The more compact it is, the less "bleed off" of temp. Chilling down barrels is pretty much standard on anything with high rates of sustained fire. Be it my Proton, EGO(s) or Geo. Even my Diadem. All those guns have an external line and still chill down the barrel.

When you put the reg int the grip, where ALL the air flows into it, yeah its going to chill down, from the reg up through the air passage in the back of the grip to the bottom and through the soli.

Compressed air, when moving at a high flow rate, like any other gas will chill down. Nature of the beast guys.....

We have been keeping an eye on the regs out there to see if anything arises from the chill down, looking pretty good as of now.
