No, your gun will still shoot exactly the same. It will only give you more modes which you probably won't use anyway. Not to mention the board is worth more than your entire gun.......so it's not a cost effective upgrade. You'd be better off buying a better gun outright.

get a barrel kit dude. rails are a/c threaded? so you can keep it if you upgrade to a higher end gun.

or you could get your current barrel bored to accept freak inserts. Nerve2030 does it in the b/s/t services section. It makes a big difference when every shot goes where you want it to.

Small bore barrel would probably be nice, or getting it bored for Freak inserts.

Depending on which version of rail you have a metal feedneck would probably be a good idea.

only "real" reason to change the board in your gun is if it cant be programmed to follow the rules of a tourney, your field, you just really want one with a screen, etc. if i remember right the stock PMR board should do everything you need.

$40's not bad, they're great boards...but if your current one gets the job done theres no real reason to change it. the gun wont shoot any different, you might get a little more adjustability and some added firing modes, but thats about it.

do you have the older rail with the plastic feedneck and back cap? you might want to change those, or at least the feedneck. the plastic back cap will last just fine as long as you dont over-tighten it. an on/off asa is also pretty convenient if you dont have one already.

If you want to upgrade maybe you can even save a little bit more money, sell your current gun, and go with a higher end gun.
