Sounds like a burst disk blew, replace the disk and fill to the correct amount of pressure.

Probably burst disk. Youtube has some tutorials on changing disks

B disk. If your place has a pro shop they will handle it in a few minutes.

Don't just replace the disk. It obviously burst for a reason. Usually the reason is that your regulator is creeping beyond the safe pressure limits of the burst disk. You should rebuild and clean the regulator as well as replacing the disk.

If you don't have a fill nipple cover, invest in one of those as well.

The 1.8k disk fails when your reg leaks (internally). Depending on your skill and comfort level, your paintball shop should be able to help.

If its a 3000 psi tank if the 1.8k disk otherwise known as the low side bursts. The reg is faulty and needs to be rebuilt with fresh o-rings without ANY grease or oil. This is very important. If the 5k bursts the tank was overfilled and released all its pressure.

If its a 4500 psi tank, if the 1.8k bursts, same as above. If 7.5k it was overfilled or faulty to begin with because most fields only fill to 4500 anyway.

Granted some burst disks just wear out after time and fail. And some are faulty to begin with, replacing them is simple:

Remove the old one with a adjustable or corresponding socket wrench. Replace with new one and tighten so its snug. No Teflon or locktite needed at all.

You might have had a dirty fill or something was in the fill nipple when you filled it. I had something similar, small blade of grass got in there and caused the burst disk to go.

Just replacing the burst disk might not fix it, it blew for a reason.

Well... I'm not so sure about the blade of grass, but you make two good points. First, a fill nipple cover is a good thing, and two, the disk blew for a reason and should be looked into.

Hey nsn, did you ever get the burst disk fixed?

It's a blown burst disc. But usually that means you have to check the reg. My burst disc on my almost brand new ninja pro reg blew last week. I took off the reg, cleaned it, reapplied blue loctite, and now it works fine.

There are occasions where if you flash fill a regulator where the input air crosses the path of the main spring/springpack/piston that you can get a minute second of time where the regulator doesn't work properly and you blow your LP disk. It would be a pretty old regulator for that to happen though since most newer systems for the last 10 years have a dedicated fill path to prevent such things. That means, your reg probably needs service.
