I've been there 3 times on road trips out of NY with my dudes. Its well worth the trip. The 3 best fields, IMO, are Town of Bedlam, Armageddon and Wastelands. The first two mentioned only require you to line up by the entry point to play them. Wastelands and the rest of the fields in the park are played in a cycle.
They have a very well stocked pro shop, good techs, actual bathrooms (you dont understand how big that really is lol) and decent prices

It's an impressive field. It's also one of the more expensive days of play in the area...but you can do that when your field is like that.

I swore off that place for a *lot* of years for a personal problem I had with it....but my problem is resolved and most other folks' experience didn't seem to match mine.

I've been there only a couple of times, mainly because of the distance. It is a good place to go at least once, but I would recommend to go with friends, which I see you are already planning.

Bedlam and Armageddon definitely give you a good experience, just keep in mind that the two fields have poor drainage and can get a little stinky after a rainfall along with flooding.

The facility is quite huge too, with plenty of field options, just take a look on Google maps. They do have two buses to get you to the further fields, assuming they are running.

I've played at cpx a lot considering I live less than 30 minutes away. It is an amazing field with amazing fields, great staff, bathrooms, a great pro shop, and some pretty delicious burgers if I do say so myself. It will get very muddy if it has rained the previous days so just beware. But other than that it is an amazing field. Prices aren't that bad since you get what you pay for.
