Um... no? A barrel kit wont make a gun shoot "straighter" Really only a clean barrel and good paint will do that.

Well... if you read the previous thread he made two days before... about the very same thing... you'd have read that he was shooting the stock .689 Axe barrel and paint from Academy Sports that was unlikely to be fresh. Looks like he's changed up the paint... but a stock 689 bore barrel is about as useful as a poopie flavored lollypop these days.

With such a large bore barrel, the likelyhood that you've got a consistent paint/bore fit is slim.

Inconsistent paint/barrel fit = erratic velocity = poor accuracy.

The barrel brand has nothing to do with the accuracy... as long as the bore is consistent.

It's the resulting velocity consistency that is the improvement in accuracy.

Clean the barrel and gun. Dirt/grime/paint on the interior of your marker is the only thing that makes it shoot less strait other than paint and barrel quality.

Exact same paint like out of the same box or just same brand? Your paint isn't old/dimpled?

And make sure there isn't paint in your hopper from a broken ball that can coat everything going through it.

one trick that sometimes one would forget. after relubing gun, don't install the barrel yet but do about 5-10 dry fire with air on a piece of cloth. the purpose is to cycle the bolt and moving parts inside the marker and it will blow out excess lube out of the breech. if you had the barrel installed , guess where the excess lube went. Lube in your barrel will have negative effect on your accuracy.
paintballs are meant to be shot dry. that;s why if you don't have a self cleaning barrel and happen to have a break, your paint will shoot erratically. Same thing if traces of lube is coating your barrel.

But yes, good accuracy can be reached with :
1. consistent gun - HPR, LPR, dwell, etc
2. consistent paint
3. good paint to bore match - i dunno what your flavor is, some would say underbore a bit. some would say a tad overbore. try and see which would work for you but number 1 and 2 will help tremendously.
