The valve in the Tribal and Cyborg are actually compatible.

Vikings are very efficient, but I've found the Excal to be more so. The only marker I've ever found to be close to equally efficient is my Angel A1 but it has piles of upgrades (full magno internals, d-lite cupseal, boost2 bolt, lpkr) and was made a full 6 years later.

By the way, Vikings don't have to be heavy...

LOL I'm sure you've built a tiny one inside of a bottle too.

You've done a great job with all of mine; I haven't got wimpy wrists but I certainly appreciate the weight reduction and the beauty of the final products. Now you just need to have Jared email me about that trigger - see picture! LOL

Also remember what Tech is in the AKA's is still being incorporated today in just a different way...

The Viking, Excalibur, and the Evil M were wayyyy ahead of their years. You can still see a bit of AKA love in some valves being produced today.

The smart parts lawsuit was a while ago, I wonder if the patents that were at issue in the lawsuit are even still valid today.

It most likely won't make a difference because most of the people behind the Viking and Excal left the company quite a while ago.

No they didn't.

The Smart Parts bankruptcy has been the best thing that ever happened for the Gardners. They moved money and patents around, chopped a lot of dead weight, sold some IP that was good but expensive to produce, and looked good by "caring" about employees while flushing them.

Correct, GI Sportz, GI MilSim, etc are all their ventures. They've shirked the responsibility to assemble their products in the US and renamed/rebranded/cheapened the product that they've retained to maximize profits and get back in on the entry-level market. They also effectively ditched the reputation that went with the old name, and are the exclusive distributor for the "Machine Vapor" which was born of the ZR1 fiasco... Add Chris Cole to the list of people who have been burned.

Correct. There was quite a scandal a few years back when the "DLX Spokeswoman" account on PBN turned out to be a male Smart Parts employee using a photoshop'ed picture of a model as his avatar.

Again, I don't blame SP for what's gone on with AKALMP. Let's talk about Eclipse.

who knows if they will or not, looking at events it looks like [paintball maybe starting a turn around and might be starting to grow again.

I get this feeling just looking at the number of teams showing up to pay major events again.

So if was AKA I would have been using the past couple of years to develop a new gun so that its ready for release now.

An awesome idea. Unfortunately, it will not likely be.

I would be surprised if that was the case. I would likely buy the marker they launched though.

Frizzle has it down, that's how it is. They got off just fine.

AKA can't produce an electro that's why they released the round body merlin kits. They have been pretty clear though over the years that it is just a side job, there won't be new tech.
