Just got back from a couple days in Seattle. Rode Stevens Pass Thursday and Friday. Rained Thursday and alternated rain and snow Friday. Super fun resort, I'd really like to go back on a legit powder day. Demoed an Arbor A-Frame 162 Thursday. Longest and stiffest board I've ever ridden and had a blast carving and hauling *** down groomers. Friday I demoed a 2014 T Rice 157. Also an awesome board and exactly how I would expect Travis' board to ride. It likes to be ridden aggressively and very dynamically. Blasted through the chopped up sections and when I hit a decent patch of groomed snow it took off faster than any board I've ridden. Snow was heavy and there were fresh tracks to be found so I spent most of the day cutting through trees.

And with that I think my season is over. 15 days, I'm happy with it.

SuperZeus- How do you demo boards?

Did you hit up the back side or stick to the front?

Demoed the Arbor A-Frame from Stevens rental shop and the T Rice from snowboard connection in Seattle. Stuck to the frontside at Stevens, I don't even think the lifts accessing the backside were open but I can't say I know the resort well.

I thought about getting a spacecase as a park board. I have a park pickle now but I think I'm gonna sell it and get an Ultrafear or Scott Stevens next year. The pickle is slightly stiffer than I'd like for a park board.

My season is just about over. Im leaving the west coast next week. though ill fit a few more days in. Job ended a few weeks ago and im outta money haha. time to retreat and save up for next season. No clue on my final tally, 75ish days or so, never once a solo shred and some epic pow days. Best day was definitely hiking to cat-ski territory in revelstoke: Fresh, dry, waist deep snow, blue bird sky, I couldnt even dream of it before i came out here.

Also, backflips.

My buddy Coop just posted this on his facebook today.

Looks like easy/fun riding once you get to the top; but holy **** I do not have that kind of dedication to do all the climbing/hiking.

A true snowboarder always carpet boards a new board. Just sayin'. I also bought a new used board and haven't been able to try it on snow. It's a '11 Rome Artifact camber. So far (from my carpet boarding) I like it.

I judge it based on the board. Some boards you can tell have a somewhat legit wax job just by look and feel and I've gotten 3 days or so off them. Others I would wax before I took it out once.

Meh, **** waxing. I had something like 120 days on snow and waxed a few times. Yeah you'll burn up your base. Blah blah blah. But **** it, I'll just buy another board. Waxing is boring and I would rather be riding.

My Evo came with a killer factory wax.. Still, I waxed fairly often since I have a core shot I needed covered and PTex just won't stay in it. Wax is pretty meh except for those warm days on man-made which basically turns into glue if you don't have a wax job going on

But I still think carpet boarding is stupid. Pinched a nerve that way
