Well I would think about a 250. It's going to be a lot but you would eventually grow into it.. Tires depend on where your riding.

All those questions depend on other things. How tall are you and how much do you weigh? If you are 5'6 or higher id go with a 250f. Yamahas are great all around, very durable. If you live in texas go with a hard pack or intermediate tire, if you live in sandy places such as florida, a sand/soft compound tire.

I have been racing motocross for 7 years

you want helmets to be D.O.T approved atleast... and if your 13 or 14 I would go with the 250f. Kind of bike does not really matter, all of the manufacturers are going after the same thing besides the air forks for 2013. Personally I would not go with the airforks yet because my friends and many other people have been having problems with them. for tires

I would get the [soft/intermediate tires] from dunlop or michellin cause it will work with most terrain. Michellin's starcross tires or dunlop's mx51.

Other gear doesnt really matter that much its whatever you like the looks of the most pretty much. I do suggest getting a neck brace though they are expensive they have saved me from breaking my neck several times... its well worth it.

you do not need to buy breaks for your bike they come with very good breaks the only thing you will have to replace for your breaks after awhile are you break pads because they do wair out.

But yes if your going to buy a brand new bike It doesnt really matter. If you decide to get a 450 instead of a 250 keep in mind that the yamaha yz450f is generally for taller riders.

PM me if you have any other questions.

I think it's kind of pointless to be worrying about tires at this stage. Neck brace is a must and never ride without one. Chest protectors are cool too, but not as needed. Thor sentinel and a leatt is a great combo.
