SS freak question

So I've had my kit for a few years now. The inside finish looks like it getting "dull" and ideas how to refinish or polish the kit again?
Thanks

You have to polish steel, so you'll need a long, small polishing wheel to get inside the barrel with a polishing compound. The dremmel has small polishing bit that can do it, you just need some kind of extender to get it down the insert.

You can buy the polishing wheel by itself, then put it on a drill of some type if you want to go budget.

Another option is finding someone to polish it for you.

However, I think it would be cheaper overall to just buy a new insert if you're not emotionally attached.

Exactly how long have you had the insert? I also have a SS kit and am wondering when I will have to deal with this issue

I have a set that's 8 years old and I've never polished the inside of them. If I was to polish them I'd use an old barrel swab with metal polish, if I would intend to polish. Doubt I ever will.

Bout a year, its the whole kit though, not just one or two inserts, I'll look into getting a polishing kit. Any recommendations for. Type of polishing compound? I know some types degrade the integrity of the metal.
