I had allmost a 30 fps drop in velocity when taking the front (3rd) oring off the stock bolt and had trouble getting up to velocity with the checkit bolt ( no front oring) without turning the ivg way in. Its a little smoother pump stroke, but I dont think worth the compromise of the the smoother shot ( Ivg not turned in so far) and efficiency of running without the front oring. I am using the TechT hush bolt (less drag on the detents) and its kind of the best of both worlds.

Front o-ring on the bolt. Take it off for smoother pump stroke because it rubs the detents (and wears them out fast too).

Remove the front oring for a smoother shot. But you compromise a lot. Efficiency and sound signature in my experiences.
