Excuse my ignorance on the axe. I've been reading through and I believe I have this right, the longer spring made for fragile paint will create the smoothest shot ? also does this effect shot consistency ?

Yes it is for fragile paint. I believe it does create a smoother shot cause ur dwell should be set higher. But it will drop efficiency.

Shot consistency won't be rly effected. Should stay the same if set up correct.

Will using the medium spring with a dwell of 4ms have a softer/quieter shot than using the short spring with a dwell of 3 or 3.5ms? How much loss of efficiency will I see?

So far, any questions about the springs have not-really-specific answers, like 'they help you tune your gun the way you want'.

Thanks

Each spring size you go up the slower the bolt moves forward, decreasing the bolts impact on paint. Thus a little better on fragile paint. You also need to increase dwell about .5ms for every spring size you go up. You will loose so efficiency but it is not really much at all. But I do find I can run lower dwell and pressure with the short spring give a quieter and smoother feeling shot.

Tune away gentlemen

I seem to have to raise my pressures. Started out shooting at 155 a few months ago now it's 160 and now it's almost 180. Same paint, same
Bore size.

I love mine!

Got it running on a non-broken in Axe with the following settings:

Medium Spring
Reg @ 140psi
Dwell @ 4ms
Back cap 1.5 turns out from flush

Shooting @ 275fps (field limit is 280)

It feels like it isn't shooting properly - like the pressure isn't set right, but take it to the chronograph and whammo - perfect.

Just wondering if the bolt tip is standard one or is it specific to the Boss bolt? 'cos I've used it once and noticed it is a tiny bit worn (i've lubed the side of the tip).

Holy crap. See I have no idea how people get these settings. I'm having to set my pressures higher and higher every month.

Is it possible that you have o-rings that are getting wore out?

How's everyones boss bolt with the boss orings? Mine isn't nearly as tight to the bolt guide as my stock bolt. If i hold it upside down it stays on but if i shake it it falls off. Input?

I didn't know where a good place to put this was, but figured why not in a thread about the Infamous bolt.

I ordered a Boss v2 bolt kit from Punisher PB a couple weeks ago not realizing that they (and everyone) were sold out. About a week later I saw Boss post on here stating that they were out of stock and getting shipment soon. Spoke with Punisher PB to confirm that was their delay as well. Well, I just received my bolt and Punisher upgraded it to the Infamous bolt for free. Completely unexpected and much appreciated.
