Barrel help

I am looking to get a barrel or a kit. I hav never purchased one before and don't really know hats good or even what to look for. I will be using it for my g3 and etek so it would need to be auto cocker thread. I want it to be black. The last I used and enjoyed was my cousins stiffi a few years back. Is carbon fiber still the best? What do you guys recommend for both 1 piece or kits. I prefer not to break the bank but I want something accurate and quiet those are my main concern. Thanks

I'd recommend a Deadlywind Fibur barrel with .693, .684, .679, and .675 Freak inserts. It'll work on them both and it's 1 piece CF with interchangeable bore sizes.

if you are going to go with a kit I would highly recommend the freak kit and you can either get a 2 pc freak barrel with that or get a deadlywind carbon fiber for it.

If you want to avoid a kit and stay on the cheap side I would recommend the cp 1 pc barrels and then just buy the sizes you use.

DYE UL are great 2 piece barrels if you use the same paint all the time and you know the constant bore size of the paint. If you need different sizes to accommodate different sizes, etc. I would go with the Freak Kit or the DW barrels that the other guys have mentioned. Its a little more money but I think that the DYE CF BoomStick is almost probably the best barrel out there although it is expensive.

Freak kit with a deadlywind barrel, best bang for your buck IMO.

You get the option to switch bore sizes (obviously) so if you ever hop around fields and aren't using consistent sized paint, you're ok with the other bore size options available in the freak kit.

And you can usually pick up used freak kits for cheap, just gotta keep an eye out on the forums.

Good luck with your search/decision!
