No - Again, mil sim is military simulation, not woodsball, not scenario (unless it is a mil sim scenario), not guns that look a bit like real guns
Some people do think if those when milsim is used
Here many people just think of a stag do or birthday party in the woods when paintball is mentioned. That does not mean paintball is stag dos and birthday parties
Milsim used to imply something like a scenario game with an emphasis on real tactics and strategies, almost like reenactments. As the other posts in this topic have revealed however is that the original meaning has been slightly warped.
People call "woodsball guns" milsim if they make some attempt to look realistic but simply being in possession of an A-5 with 30 pounds of useless cosmetic crap bolted onto it doesn't mean you are milsimming.
If you take that same gun and then start playing while trying to emulate actual military tactics, then you are milsimming.
