i had a rotor (got stolen in a deal), then bought a teammates spire thatt was leaving the sport for some personal reason...if i had not had my rotor stolen, i probably wouldnt have the spire...its a great hopper, the speedfeed (exalt) was amazing, and i hardly ever jammed..

now to the spire....it is a really nice hopper...the v1 speedfeed sucked...just get the sf right away (which is now availiable for the rotor)...the one thing that i dont like about it is that when you put a pod on top of the hopper, paint likes to get stuck sometimes behind the spire part...never had this happen with the rotor....on taking apart, they are both about the same as far as that goes...and i have noticed that my spire likes batteries..lol but ill be changing them once a month from now on for tournaments anyways...also, the spire is a little lighter, but its not really noticable on the field...both are good hoppers...

if anything, trade hoppers with a friend for a day, just to see if you like it...then if you dont, you dont make a $180 mistake...if you do, then you can look at buying one, and you have a backup hopper as well

Thanks a ton, I think I'm going to just keep my rotor. It's so perfect, I'm modding it so it won't jam anymore

Rotor and Spire are both designed by the same man....if that helps anyone's decision.

If i can get a spire for $100 Ill get one if not just get a used rotor...

I actually used a vmax for a while. Not because money but because if it does the trick, why get a new one? They all feed paint? They all load the balls well? So why worry about dropping 240 on a spire and a speed feed, now I have a rotor, and it's nice, and I've used spires before, they both do the trick, so I don't see a need to get a spire.

i know that the rotor sometimes jams, but i have seen spires at local tournaments jamming a lot, and i think that the main inovation of the spire was that it never jams,
i have a rotor, i want to test a spire, but probably i will stick with my V3
