Woah there slow down, use some periods.

It preforms great, its like having a Phenom in one hand.

12gs arent the best, you get about 2 1/2 mags off a 12g. Also factor in if its cold cause CO2 doesnt work in the cold.

Not much can break on them. Usually orings on the brass gas lines will degrade or get pinched (only if you disassemble). Keep good maintenence and youll be fine.

It works great on a remote. If you get a remote, you can use HPA if you have a HPA tank.

FPS is the same as any other Tippmann, its just a small version of the Phenom essentially.

You can look up reviews on the TechT bolt. I ran stock and never had a problem.

Overall great gun. Ive owned 2 so far.

Is it really that much like a phenom inside? I've always liked that inline reg/valve blow forward design.

I assumed it was the same, might be different. Its been a while since I looked at a schematic.

Either way its closed bolt.

That's actually a tough call for me. I like coolness and technology in the tipx but as much as I dislike BT stuff the 17 is pretty neat and I like the feeding setup better for use as your main gun.

I had a Bt sa17 but it leaked a lot and I did not like the feed on it. It would not fit in the holster well and would get stuck. I did like the barrel it had, the way you could replace it with different bore sizes. I have the tpix and have not had any issues.

This is my first post. Ive got a vibe and it make a good side arm, but i really want a TiPX for the holster and its mag fed style. Would you guys say the TiPx would be good and I should just use the vibe as a primary? Because the vibe is kind of a heavy side arm, but the fire select it has is a must.
How is the TiPX with First strike rounds and how much does the mod cost?

I believe the First Strike mod is about $35 to $45, depending. You can mod the magazines yourself or buy them, which doesnt really matter cause modded magazines work with regular balls.

I have used the TPX as a primary for a whole season, stock internals, constant air with a 16" JJ barrel and it worked great.

works great as a primary, and there are plenty of q-loader mods you can do for relatively cheep if you don't like the low capacity or want to try something new.
check sig for 1.

never had an internal problem with it. have used the stock bolt and see no reason to change

good luck

you can go for a 8.1 no mods no problems, FS ready
or a 9.1 that you can use as a rifle or as a pistol

Ok, I've got a few questions for you guys.

On the TiPX, is there a rifled barrel for it? or can I get a basic rifled tippman or even rifle it myself? Do you guys know if a rifled barrel really helps out much with regular balls?

Would I be able to mod the TiPX for FS rounds with out buying the kit. Maybe cut it out to fit. But would the rifled barrel work with FS rounds.

I'm just getting into paint ball and really want to make my markers more accurate.

Hammerhead makes a rifled barrel for the tpx. It's a decent barrel but you aren't going to get better accuracy from the rifling. You need a better paint to bore match on the barrel. You could mod the breech and the magazines to take first strikes...but I am pretty sure if you do that you are stuck with first strikes only after that.
