Release date?
Anyone know?
ANS says june 1st, but they're not really dependable. They'll put anything up on preorder.

The word on the is that pre-orders to distributors have been the highest of any of the Empire markers so far. Even if pre-ordered, production will not meet demand in the short term.

Seems that everyone are saying june, so june it is..
That's unfortunate since it's 2 months into the season, spending $1500 on a marker to use it outdoors for 3-4 months isn't really all that appealing. Rather get something from the get-go.
Oh well, maybe I'll pick one up for 2014.

Yes demand is high, but KEE might have shot themselves in the foot with not having supply on hand after release. The hype will only die down and potential sales will fizzle once eager buyers find something else to buy instead of waiting. I bet PE will sell out of the ugliest Ego ever in the first month which will be more than Vanquish sales for the whole year simply because of lack of supply at thebeginning of the season.
I wanted one. Now , I'll wait to see if I still do In 3 months.

I'm on the pre-order list, but have been told that there could be a slight delay. Since I have to shoot & wear all Empire that's fine with me since I have my trusty Axe anyway
If you're at a bigger field or a field that promotes Empire some demos may show up over the next few months to keep hype going. It's a stunning gun, shoots at least as nice as my (former) Luxe and I'm happy that KEE is using the Smart Parts patents themselves instead of just licencing them to DLX. Although it may create difficulty for further Luxe development.

Just shows how modest of a company they are, sent them a email a couple weeks ago about possibly buying my first Axe from them. They couldn't have been any more professional with me.

Behind? You mean they haven't been making quality products fielded by dozens of pro and semi pro teams. Not to mention the thousands of recreational players that use their equipment. If you mean behind as in the $1500 super gun category, then yes your right, they were behind. There have been many guns in this price range for years. As far as them being behind on a whole, no way, I don't see your logic.

Maybe empire didn't want to release a high end before they were ready? What's the point of putting a marker on the market when it's just gonna be finicky and have problems. Empire made a smart move because I don't hear any complaints from any of the testers about shorting the Vanquish
