I got confirmation from someone who used to work for FEP. The correct size for the eyes are 4.75mm NOT 5mm. Posted this for anyone interested in the future.

Do 5mm not fit?
That's why I threw the "I think" in there. I've never taken a caliper to em so sure 4.75 sounds right to me. Hard to tell the difference eyeballing

I wasn't attacking you Demo. Just letting everyone know. I contacted Chris Cole he informed me they were 4.75mm. I tried 5, too big.

There are no such thing as "4.75mm", it's a 5mm standard. I made them for FEP.

TAS, I stopped at Radio Shack to get some 5mm LEDs, they didnt fit! I emailed Chris Cole and he's the person that informed me that they are indeed 4.75mm. The guy that was making them up for me measured them with his digital calipers and they scaled out to be 4.64mm. I have both "06" and "07" Quest's and 5mm fit neither of them.

You want the "canned" IR or visible eyes - if you don't get the canned type, they will short out the first time you get paint/liquid on them.

This was a VERY common issue with the original electronics and cause the gun to shoot while "off" (who remembers that?), drain the battery, go full auto, and other random issues.

You can get IR in any size, but the "correct" type are the canned ones. The actual "eye" is 4.64, but the package size is standardized at 5mm, just like the original intimidators. If you can't find Quest eyes, get old Intimidator ones, they both work. Trust me
