Axe vs. etek4 vs. proto reflix
I'm getting back into paintball and stuck between which one of the three to buy.

If you generally like spools go with the Reflex. If you like a harder shot (for instance, to keep your attention) and better efficiency, go with the Etek4. If you want to find the best middle ground (and only slightly worse efficiency than the Etek4) go with the Axe.
In MY opinion Axe > Etek4 > Reflex.

The reflex sucks. The etek is louder than a helicopter. The axe is amazing. You pop a boss bolt on the axe and your shooting money.

Having played with one for a few weeks, this is FAR from the truth.
Honestly, the Reflex is pretty nice.

If you want a spooley, go reflex.
If you want air efficiency, etek.
If you want best performer, go axe.
I recommend axe out of the 3 highly.

Axe unless you like spool valves. Then PMR.
Avoid the Etek. The Axe blows it out of the water.

Axe. Simply because it was designed to shoot brittle paint
Yesterday we shot g I sports an etek4 broke a lot of paint
I saw a reflex rail 2012 break 2 times and my axe ZERO
This is what made the deal for me when I was deciding

I have a PMR and bought an Etek4 last year, and I use my buddy's Axe a lot. Of those three, it's very close because each of them have their own ups and downs.
The Reflex, being a spool, will have the smoothest shot and will be the quietest, but it is less air efficient than the Etek and requires more maintenance. The Etek will be the most air efficient, if that matters to you, but it has some kick to it and the loudest sound signature since it's a poppet. The Axe is a bit of both, and it's got a smooth shot, especially if you upgrade the bolt, and it's pretty decent on air.
I use my Etek the most, but that's because I like Eclipse. I really enjoy shooting the Axe, and IMO it feels great in the hands, but I love how the Etek is extremely reliable (not that the Axe or Reflex isn't).

And if that is not enough mr blue shifty is convincing me to install a lurker bolt it is 30.50 cents new and shipped from lurker
It is a bolt that makes it quieter smoother and more efficient
This is the crazy part!!
You can put a ball between the bolt breech and bottom of the feedneck (simulating a chop)
Shoot and it will hit the ball and bounce back! WOW! Lol

Don't sweat Paper_Cut, Batman. He's nobody you have to worry about, give him another week and he will accumulate some more infraction points and be banned yet again.
to the OP, I had an Etek3 and liked it, but bought an Axe and loved it. With the simple change of a bolt, as said before, you can make the the Axe much more effiecent, quieter and shoot smoother then just about anything on the market. I went with the Boss bolt and average about 10 pods off a 68/4500.

Similar to me, I went ego7> droid> g6r> clone vx'd> vice> closer (sc'd and stock engine)> axe. I am not sure what it is about the axe, but I really enjoy it. Kee is fricken amazing when it comes to customer service, the gun shoots amazing, and feels great in the hands IMO. Surprisingly, if I had to chose one gun to make it through an entire season out of the ones above I'd still go with the axe. They are pretty well trouble free and have a shot quality that rivals any high end on the market with a $30 upgrade.

Papercut. I don't sound professional because I am not professional
Since you are a pro you sound like one
And if it sounds like I'm on a sugar rush I guess I get too excited and want the op to get an axe like me and like it like me
But forget it I'm done with this I'm not posting in threads anymore I see this is not for me

I agree with that, just picked up an axe, and i like it a lot more, IMO more fun to shoot. Plus i dont have to worry about it breaking down on me as I've had a few troubles with my PMR then again it is an 08 with alot of use

I've had the etek 4 for about two months now. Excellent on air, will take close to two cases before I need to fill my tank (68/45 ninja). It is definitely louder than the axe and reflex but stomps both guns in every other category. I didn't like the sound at first, but it grows on you and people know when there about to get smoked. Takes about 10 cases to break in, then it's shoots ropes.

Not sure what you are trying to say here? 2 CASES? Tuned G6R's get a case but never much over on a full 68/4500 fill
