Acidcustom, nice idea there. I have a question about it. Is there enough material to turn a deeper air channel groove between the threads and the back oring?

I ask so because the EvilM seems to like air flow, and I've experienced a starving EvilM. If you screw in the bottom 10-32tpi x 1/8" plug too far in, it will reduce the airflow of the lpr to solenoid. What happened to mine is that it wouldn't shoot over about 250fps, never mind the input pressure nor dwell. Backing off the plug setscrew resulted in the marker being able to hit the desired velocity. Oh, and the plug wasn't all the way in, blocking completely the air passage, no, it was maybe half obstructing the air passage.

So that's why I ask, since if the lpr hole doesn't line up with the air passage, I'm wondering if there will be enough air flow. Thanx

I have machined that groove as well down deeper but I will have a look to see if I can either machine it deeper or mill 2 slots, this will allow more flow either way

I was under the impression DC would be selling whole setups in the future... So I was wondering how they could get 'rare'

I don't have a m body in front of me but cyborgs have a slot milled into the body to connect the lpr output to the air channel. I can post a pic if needed.

Sadly my large family has made me give up on my build. I just can't focus on so many projects. maybe in the future i will revisit the idea.

sigh... after not getting a response from jared in a while (which isn't the first time), i just sent this email...

Quote:
Hi Jared,

I just wanted to follow up again and see if how things are coming along with my Evil M. I was looking back through our emails over the years, and I saw an email from April 2010 saying you received everything I sent. I understand things come up, but next month will be three years for this project. How much is left to do? I know you milled the top tube of the body, already. You sent me pics of the body back in 2011.

If I recall correctly, the only other items were making the back of the frame flush with the body, somehow fixing up the eye covers, removing the vert asa wings on the body, and doing something to the vert asa to make it flow with the body better (or going with a different vert asa if nothing could be done... i know you've looked into cocker ones for me before). Then it was sending it to ano and building it.

I have always had great experiences dealing with DC in the past before this. Again, I know things come up, but this seems like a really really long time. I even see posts online of other people's projects that you have taken on and finished, while I have not even gotten any progress updates in literally years.

Please reach out whenever you get a chance.

Regards,
Dan
i dont want to come off as the pushy, annoying customer though... but something doesnt seem right. am i being unreasonable here?

I'm actually in the process of figuring out a way to use a single 4 way solenoid. It wouldn't quite be an excal in the way it operates, but it will be a closed bolt poppit marker with a part that works the valve, and one that moves the bolt.
