Are there prizes other than 1st per event, and what is the series grand prize?

It's being discussed. At minimum, there will be trophies for 1st-3rd, and we're negotiating our budget for a gear prize, at minimum tanks/masks. God bless tax season.

Glad to hear it! There's been a single date change due to a conflict of events on our facility; please note that the LAST date only has changed.

We have three so far...pre-registrations just began trickling in. Our South Park Scenario for next weekend has kinda stolen the spotlight, but we've still got a little over a month until our series opener, so keep those rolling in.
Event and series prizes have been finalized...see first post.
Also, for those of you who would like some warm-up time on the field, the layout for the series opener has been finalized as of yesterday, so our next TWO Saturday Night Speedball sessions, on the first and Third Saturdays of the month from 6-9 pm, will be played on Event #1's layout, and the focus of Saturday Nights for the next three months will be three-man.

Is this event considered open. No APPA points?
online registration mentions paint reservation. Do we need to do this or will you make sure if there are 16 teams that there will be enough paint to accomodate? I didnt finish online reg due to having questions but will it register team name or just my individual name then teams will actually register at the field day of? I am not familiar with round robin. If 10 teams show how many games will that garuantee? I am gonna drive 2 1/2 - 3 hours wanna make sure we are gonna have some play time. Sounds like a lot of fun. It looks like you guys are giving a pretty good try at making things happen . I want to come up and check it out.
Thanks

Happy to clear a few things up...thanks for asking!
APPA id's are not required, nor will they be checked, but we request/recommend that players only attend if they are ranked D3 or lower.
The online paint reservation is not a requirement at all...that was simply something that the office administration staff wanted to include. We will not be running out of paint. The plan is to offer two levels of paint, priced at $40 and $50...most likely Valken Crusade and Graffiti.
The online registration system can only accept full team pre-registrations, not individual players.
As for the round robin format, this has been changed. We anticipated being able to run more fields than we will be able to, so we are switching the format to a more universal race-to-2, with a minimum bracket size of 5 teams per bracket, guaranteeing teams a minimum of ten games, plus additionals for 3rd game tie-breaks, and then finals rounds.
One last thing to note: Our layout for the first event IS set up right now, and ten days from now, we have an open 3-man practice (via Saturday Night Speedball). It's compact, fast, and lots of fun. Don't miss out on your opportunity to get in a warmup!
We're looking forward to having you come out...keep those pre-registrations rolling in!

Three days to go! Please note small schedule change in first post; we're going to get started about an hour earlier than originally planned, to make sure we've got enough time for everything.
Looking forward to seeing you all out here!

Event is tomorrow! Come play!
A discussion was had today, and a decision was reached. We're still capping at 12.5 balls per second, but PSP ramping in that format will be acceptable.

Big Woods' Nachos are serious business. Anything so awesome as Nachos combined with Pulled Pork is to be taken seriously.
Thanks! We'll see you again soon!
