It's already known that police departments are now starting to use them, so explain how actuality is now an assumption.
I guess you missed out on the news from last year:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...-you/?page=all
"The agency projects that 30,000 drones could be in the nation’s skies by 2020."
And here's a section of the actual bill that Obama signed into law:
Quote:
(3) DEADLINE.—The plan required under paragraph (1)
shall provide for the safe integration of civil unmanned aircraft
systems into the national airspace system as soon as prac-
ticable, but not later than September 30, 2015.

I don't mind drones being used for intel, but none of them should be armed while patrolling this country. The fifth amendment is a very important amendment to uphold and cannot be given more grey area to confuse things.
Overall, your chance of being murdered in this country is something like 0.0008%. That does NOT warrant the use of drones to kill targets within our own country. Let our law enforcement do their job and allow the Constitution to be upheld.
Note: This isn't a rant towards you. I simply quoted you as a source for my own individual spewing of opinion.

I'm going to assume you agree with plain view laws and the need for a warrant to provide for search and seizure in any case. What do you say about Plain Smell? laws where a drug sniffing dog can be used on the outside of an object(house, car, etc) and a warrant is not needed? How do you feel about privacy then? The point of the bill of rights is to protect citizens from over-reach of the government. Using drones on US soil for average use, IMO, is overstepping that boundary. I'm talking 2020 when they estimate the 30k drones overhead.

Why would that cross the line but a helicopter or a squad car doesn't? The only difference is your taxes are lower.
