Do you all have a date set in stone yet? I'll be spreading the word up here.
Be sure to post up your project, sounds like it is going to be a beast.

Btw, got a little project in the works. Think 07 rc/sb 1500 + 12v + lots of air & fuel.
4k obo
Its rust free, body isnt 100% straight but it isn't bad other than the roof which was dented when I got it and I hit a garbage can that was in the road in the front right. you can kind of see in the picture the grille bezel is dented.

If I didn't have to go to ohio to get it I would pick it up

It is will fade out over time and come over pretty easily. I did my grille with it on my super duty and it looked good for around the first 6 months. Then started to turn greyish.
Yeah, I'm not to worried it wasn't a permanent solution.

We're scheduled for Sept. 21st at the track. I scrapped my project to get more serious with my 01... although I do still have the eninge for my halfton project, it got coated in oil and bagged up a few weeks ago. I traded my halfton in on this...
Heres my baby. 2003 lb7, efi tuned, suncoast stage 4 with billet internals, airaid intake, raptor 100 gph lift pump, ppe boost valve, 5 inch straight pipe to 8 inch single mitre cut stack.

Also a friend works for a towing company in the call center and said a guy removed the hose that goes from the windshield washer tank and ran it to his intake and filled the tank with diesel and when he wanted to smoke someone he would just use the washer button and boom more smoke than a 18 yr old in a Cummins with a smoke switch

haha! thanks for the help, man. I appreciate the quick response
this will be a family tow rig for some Polo ponies, so I doubt I can talk my dad into smoke outs via windshield washers.

Heh, minor? I don't consider weak head gaskets minor. Just like I don't consider injectors failing on an LB7 to be minor, or a weak lift pump/injection pump combo on a 24v a minor problem. Also, the 6.4s are quickly becoming the new 6 Leaker. My buddy's bread and butter is by far, HG jobs on 6.0s and 6.4s.

Well add head gaskets to the 2011-2012 Duramax LML.
I say minor because they're covered under warranty. The lb7 is covered to 150k for injectors. 6.0s are going that way now with the class action lawsuit. The hg on my lml are covered too.
Was just up snowmobiling in NY state this weekend and last. With all the snowmobile trailers, it was like diesel truck central up there. I think I saw every generation of GM/Ford/Dodge diesel represented, except for maybe GM's old 6.2L.
On a more technical note, it's always fun to go out and listen to all the trucks start up on Sunday morning. As it's maybe 10*F out and nobody is plugged in. You always get a few guys who run 15w40 and then wonder why their truck won't start. (Meanwhile, my 18 year old truck starts no problem and purrs like a kitten. )
Well, the truck is in the back again waiting to go under the knife again. List of things to be done; remove hitch thats on truck, install pulling hitch, suspension stops, fuel sump, injectors, turbo, cam, headstuds, valve springs, pushrods, Redline box, BD noise isolator, BD Rad, and if I can I have a Dana 80 that needs work to be ready to swap in. :S:
