It can be a very expensive trip. Sometimes I get some perks to help out on the cost. But this is a hobby and sometimes if you want to play with the big boys you are going to pay so prepare for it. Try finding a place to play that can have thousands to contend with in all respects. That extra money you pay for a case of paint is for the field and all it has to offer. Its better to play there then it use to be.

If you guys ever want to play anywhere that's a lot cheaper play at Paintball Asylum. It's by the crossings i love it there and the people are friendly.
My attempt to get people to go to my favorite field lol

The cost per case is high, but the total numbers of acres (700) with a castle, town, and a total of 4500 players is unmatched.
EMR might be close, but the event I.O.N. is the Superbowl of Paintball. Even World Cup doesn't have this many participants.

I think people are confused. You are playing for the fields. You want cheap paint, go to Walmart and shoot in you're back yard.
I can't believe people play Skirmish regularly. However, The Rivers Paintball charges $80 a case and doesn't have 700 acres of field.
The place looks nice. Not that is pay $100 every weekend to play, but once or twice a summer.

I shouldn't have to go on 1/2 price day to pay RETAIL price for a case of paint. If your fields cost more to maintain, charge more to get in, don't double the price of a ****ty product. I would consider paying $50-$60 in entry to somewhere with that many fields. But only if they charged a reasonable price for the
quality of paint provided

I have heard some places in Canada it costs over $200 a case. And I would never go to a weekly game at Skirmish and pay $100+ for a case. Before I pay that much for a case I would go into Airsoft or quit the hobby. But I will say I may go into Airsoft anyway because its alot cleaner and you can get 5K rounds for around $10. But it is a game on honor when hit to take yourself out. Not much honor at times in paintball.

I had egrips on my double A5's that were in my tank turret. I dont use them anymore because they are un-reliable. The refs wont say much about firing that way if you burst and not just open up or have them set back to around 7-10 per second. Far as I know Skirmish doesnt allow fully auto guns and you must set them back if you do. The A5 I use now has the old response trigger and I like it better then the new egrips. The gun doesnt seem to breakdown as much and have less battery usage.

Yup,, no full auto/response trigger type setups, if you open up full auto on someone its an issue. The owners at Skirmish are there on site working most of the time and play time to time. I'm not familiar with too many other fields but the cost is high but I have not seen any that are cheap.. all seam high.. Kinda either smaller place less cost on paint, amenities are not as nice, or big place prices higher.. If I played every weekend I'd have a season pass and buy most of my paint for the season at 1/2 price paint day. You can buy it that day and return another game day to play with it. That would be $50 a case.. They also have free gun techs on site to fix your markers for you. It isnt cheap.. I usually ride/race dirt bikes on sundays.. this is my cheap sport when I'm not on the bike..

Lvp and paintball asylum are way cheaper than skirmish. plus the refs and people that go to those fields are all really nice. i find that skirmish seems to bring in all the *******s.

Have not been to asylum but lvp if you rent is not "way cheaper". The rental plus paint ends up being a bit cheaper. The paint is less but cost of entry and rental are much higher. It's great $ if you have your own stuff tho. How big is it? I pass it driving all the time. I drive for a living.

1/2 price days are fine. But still, i dont care if im coming with a group, $85 is waaaayyy overpriced for a case of paint. I dont even pay that much at GPL/MAPL.

Paintball asylum is $55 for half a case and anything you need to rent. I love the refs there (there are only 3 lol) they have all woodsball fields but I played 8 games in a day so they don't sit around and do nothing between games. And there's a pizzeria 5 feet from the parking lot. If you go there and see an Asian guy tell him to do the chow impression lol

How does that even make sense? you would pay more for entry (above you put up to 60,which is double skirmish entry..free if you go on byog days)
as long as you can pay less for paint...
wouldnt it just even out the same in the end.considering lots of other fields nickle and dime you for just about everything?
entry.. rental marker, air ect ect.. for a full day of paintball at skirmish minus the stuff you want but dont need to play (extra stuff from proshop ect i) comes to about 130/140.. for a full day and you can manage to get at leastv7/8 fields in and 2/3 games per field provided the group your qith doesnt just **** off and drag *** all day between games..
sounds alot bwtter to me then playing the dame two or three fields at a small place and still paying almost 100 to play.

Does skirmish have several locations for air on the field?
If they have remote air stations, are there more than one location?

They only have air in two locations (one main and one mini) the main.one is in the picnic area across from where you pick up your markers and a smaller one out fron at the checkbin building so people.using those fields dont have to walk back to the picnic.area during the day if using the frony fields.
