Play paintball, airsoft or both?
Wondering how many of the people play just paintball, just airsoft or both.
I know this is a paintball site but I am in the airsoft forum so I am hoping for a rather realistic set of replies.
Thanks

I used to play Paintball more but it just costs way too much. Now I play Airsoft a lot more, especially the indoor field, but I'll play Paintball again in the summer.

I still have my sniper II pump to play paintball if I feel like it. Got sick of paying 90+ a case for FPO. Airsoft is so much cheaper.

Bonus balling still applies. That is why my L96 was shooting 500 FPS. If you don't call yourself out the first shot, the next one is aimed for your neck.

I play paintball mostly and have airsoft guns for just messing around and working on drills that transition over to real firearms.

Yeah, but it costs too much to get a good airsoft gun. I would like to get a HPA gun but it costs $600. I might as well stick with paintball, lol.

I play tournament paintball. I play airsoft for rec. We don't get too many cheaters. If someone does, I somehow always forget about the 15 foot surrender rule and go bunker them like paintball. People tend not to cheat after that.

Bologna. You can get a nice new Airsoft setup for ~250. The Polarstar (Air tank guns) are expensive as **** and you still have a tank.

Even mix for me. Airsoft is way cheaper though. I like going to the event that Evike hosts every year because there aren't really any good airsoft fields near me, but there's a paintball field.

i mostly do softair in the backyard because i'm not good enough for pro yet. it's cheap and the adrenaline i get from it sends a thrill shooting down my leg. i go paintballing semi pro with my bros. it cost me about $1300 for every event for paintballing so i still get my softair on in my back yard.

I almost never play paintball anymore because of two reasons; 1. I cannot afford it. 2. Airsoft, in my opinion, is a lot better. I honestly prefer the realism and the need to not clean up the paint on your clothing after you are done playing.

I remember when my neighbors & I ordered some tokyo marui guns the day before 9/11. We had to wait a few stinkin' weeks for our packages to arrive 'cause the airways were shutdown. Been playing paintball since the late 90's and was still pball crazy when I bought my M4 and MP5 PDW. Also order a tracer unit (that thing was really cool) for night time "fun" in the hood back when I was an immature *******. Neighborhood kids bought a bunch of ****ty mini's for $20 on the net: steyr augs, mini m4's, mini mp5's and some springers that hurt like hell when shot up close. We held matches throughout the neighborhood and the neighbs hated every bit of it hahahaha. We'd start outfront of my house and the other team would hold down my garage. Hand/leg hits just means you can't use that hand and body shots and head were instant kill. Across the street was the woods line so we brought over a bunch of shovels & other tools to dig trenches and fox holes. We got kicked out of that place by the people who lived across from me. The ladies husband dumped dead grass all over our field and it became anaerobic & smelled like **** for a few summers. I quit airsoft after that and sold my gats. A few of my friends who I introduced to paintball are now airsoft junkies up in NY. I to this day never shot an airsoft gun since then. I had my fun back when they were new and I will leave it there.
Pball <3
