Great work!
Thanks! Here's another comparison. Given these two options, I don't see why anyone would want the macro...

It is not threaded on either end, but the center section is. You simply insert it and then unscrew it so it increases in length and that holds it in place. Very simple!

I think you'll like it! It's a really well rounded gun that seems to do everything well.

Dang, there's a hell of a lot of parts to this gun. Thanks for sharing; this must've been time consuming.

looks great to me, but I will pull my support for it COMPLETELY if they put an HP Regulator (the one in the foregrip position) that's too short like a lot of the newer Bob Long Markers have...I really HATE those mini High Pressure Regulators...

You cant go back to macro, he just had a spare 45 collar laying around and showed what it would look like it it had the macro on it. The asa has no rail system either.

Just been messing around with my POPS to see if it would fit.

The POPS has the same screwholes in the same position - so while the rail system would offset things a bit I wanted to see whether you could just screw it in tight anyway and not worry. The answer is no, at least as far as I can make out. The screws in the POPS don't actually have anything to grip since they're designed to push on a rail rather than pull against the frame, so while you'll be able to physically screw it in (and it might even stay there) you wont be able to tighten it at all and it wont be usable in game.

In theory you could modify it to work by using screws with heads that you screw in from the inside of the frame and then down into the asa after deliberately stripping the threads in the frame, but that would involve a whole lot of messing around firstly finding the right screws and then getting them to work from the inside without interfering with the board and battery which may require dremelling, and then you'd be stuck permanently with macro and never able to go back without buying a new frame. Yuk. Almost certainly not worth the trouble since it's a functional downgrade anyway and only matters aesthetically.

The only way for it to really work would be for PE to release a POPS with the same screw system as the stock one OR a non air thru frame with rail mounts.

Also, sorry to do this to your thread Ben but I couldn't help myself:

All of what has been stated is correct. None of the already existing parts will work to convert the gun to macroline. BUT it would be easy for PE to make some that would allow the conversion. I really don't see why you would want to. This photo shows that the macro is just more in the way.

The easiest way to make an existing POPS to work with the LV1 would be to countersink the holes in the POPS to work with a cap head screw and drill out the threads for a straight through hole. Then mill off the T-rail. But it would be much easier to just wait for something directly from PE. Or better yet, just use the pipe because it's better anyways!

I like the brown accents!

If they include the POPs on/off with the gun and the macro it will be sick. Looks like it has 0 kick and sounds real quiet. Great pics man!

What spacer is that? The only thing I could think of is the rail to move the POPS back? If so, I do not have that. Sorry. I think it may still be in development.
