So I've spent the last few months all over the place trying to find this info so now I bring it here.

I have a 2001 galant and currently have no control over my wipers. I've swapped out the switch and still nothing but haven't tried the motor yet.

Basically it is always on, the only way to turn it off is to disconnect the motors power supply.

Also when it gets too wet the radio wont turn off when I turn off the car.

Any ideas?

When what gets too wet? The outside of the car?


Ditto on the relays. Your wiper controls are on the turn signal switch, right?

They are on the turn signal, I've already tried to replace that.
Its an 01 and from what I've seen it doesnt have a relay.

Possible short in the wiring or just a faulty motor?

Also, I looked at Rockauto, according to them anyways, you have separate turn signal and wiper switches.

If the wipers go on I assume the fuse is good, but check all the fuses over once if you haven't.
