Marpat vs. BT camo
Anyone using a combination of Marpat and BT camo (not terapat but the older darker digi-woodland seen on BT vests)? Like, where your jersey is made by BT but you wear it with regular marpat BDU pants? I am currently in the process of putting together my woodsball gear and wonder if these can be mixed without looking like a big mish mash. From what I can tell, BT camo is darker, while marpat is more brownish-yellow. I would love to see some pictures of this combination being worn together so that I can make up my mind on how to go about it.
Alternatively, I am also considering a Valken jersey if it is a better match to a regular marpat.

Valken pants/jersey in marpat matches regular marpat way better than BT camo. I decided to buy marpat because it's abundance in the surplus market. I can buy more stuff in marpat than any BT camo or any other woodland digi camo out there.
To answer your question, Marpat and BT, in my opinion just does not go well together. The shades of color are a little off. But it's paintball and I think most people will not care if you have a pants and jersey that don't match. If they do, you can tell them to get a life.

I prefer MARPAT because it is just so easy to get. Plus, BDU's from my local Army/Navy surplus store are tough as steel. Unfortunately different brands of Marpat can vary in their exact color scheme, so buying it online from different brands can be kinda iffy. Sometimes they clash, othertimes they don't.

I find that different camo together don't work too well, try and get one unified theme going.

If you want true Marpat, stick with Valken, but I like the BT Combat pants over anything Valken has offered. I have had mine a year now and not a single rip. I had Valkens and ripped them 2nd day I owned them as well as a friend of mine. BT pants are just better quality overall.

What do you guys think of Terrapat? I'm a dedicated woodsball player (speedball isn't really for me, and there's literally no scenario/milsim scene where I'm at) and I'm looking into some BT pants colored in Terrapat.

For true MARPAT, you have to go to the surplus shops and find the Marine Corps issues. These are for the most part hard to come by. I find that Tru-Spec makes a great BDU in MARPAT. And they last really well; I have a pair of pants that have been through three Oklahoma D-Days and that is some of the roughest terrain I have ever played on.
Best bet is get military issue BDUs or anything mil-spec. It is inexpensive and will last for awhile.

The bt gear is more of a green base while marpat has more brown/reddish brown. What the other guys have said about valjen matching better is true. If you can find the older style bt "digital woodland" stuff it should be pretty cheap now. I have the combat pants and Jersey and they both have held up well. Pretty much zero padding in the Jersey and the pants run a little smaller than pb pants usually do. The bt pants are essentially empire pants that don't fit as loose.
