I plan on getting a nice used one with low miles for about $20k.
The most I'll be towing for a while will be a Jetski, at least in the next 10 years anyways... Maybe a camper every now and then, but it's a 4 person camper, nothing crazy.
I've been wanting to own one for about 6 years now and am finally getting around to getting one.

Yup.. It isn't the orings after all.
I ok'd the bolt engines using a ****ty caliper.. lesson learned; bought my mitutoyo finally.
We're waiting on delivery of different sized orings for testers to get the protos working properly.. Basically, the tolerances stacked and caused issues, but we know what is going on now, so it isn't like we have to rebuild the whole damn unit.
Even with the above, we are still getting some "interesting" results, so we're trying to figure out what exactly is going on and why the testers are having such varied results.
I also got a Tech T Threshold Engine in...

Sorry for the lack of updates.
We both received our shipment of orings in and are shipping them to the testers.
Got some more feedback as well.. we're still getting a lot of info which doesn't correlate that much in terms of the fitment of parts, etc.
Some good news.. Since the one caliper I bought (the mitutoyo) was the wrong one, I finally Bought a starrett dial caliper and a mitutoyo digital (carbide ID/OD jaws <3) and will be verifiying all parts on hand..
We're also working on a way to lessen the chances if such an event occurring again on the production models..

For once...
I agree with you.
Unless he has a silly name.
Or you could just call it the 'DaY Engine'.
Short for Deathwish and Yoda Engine.
Slogan: The difference between night and DaY, don't get left in the dark.

Not really.
Still figuring out what's up with the sporadic results (among testers/us).
We're working on it. That's all I can really tell you.

We're hearing that the new orings we sent out are working much better and we are also looking into an issue with the tolerances of the orings themselves.
At this point, we are most likely going to remachine the existing prototypes to reduce some of the issues we were having and then send them back out for testing.

 - good to see that it appears you have narrowed down the issue.

I've been following this post for a while just reading and not really responding/posting. However, just yesterday I had the opportunity to buy a G5. I turned it down because there isn't much in the way of upgrades for it.
With that being said, this project has the potential to take the g5 upgrades market by storm. I know its late into this but if this were the first bolt kit to make it to the market for the G5 as well as the G4/G3 series of markers, I'd assure you that you could take off as a company to rival other bolt makers.
Not to take anything away from techt but they are the only ones out there that make a bolt for DP markers. Lucky for us their bolts and CS is excellent so there is no reason to complain, but a little competition would only further to broaden the market and give us better products overall.

well they can technically knock out the g4 and g5 bolts at the same time if they can figure out a way to re machine the bolts without an oring on the back of the bolt.

The G5 Prototype's rear oring did not affect anything.. It was merely the design of the bolt engine itself which prevented it from venting quickly.
