New "What's it Worth" forum: "Whatever someone is willing to pay for it"
Looking for some input if a particular find is a good deal? Thinking about selling your gear and want to know what it is worth? Post it in a new thread in this forum. Post a description, pic or even a link and ask fellow paintball players if you are getting a good deal.
Links to Ebay, Cragslist or other sites are allowed. Remember, if you link to a great deal, you'll have competition from our other users for it.
Paintball gear is worth whatever you can find a buyer willing to pay. So take people's replies here with a grain of salt.
Tips For Posting- Put the product name in your thread title. This will help draw people knowledgeable about the product into the thread.
- If the product has add-ons or upgrades, list them in your post.
- Include photos whenever possible
Good luck selling and/or buying!

Especially for rarer or one of a kind markers. I sold my "wafflebot" for $600 and later I saw it on here and the guy was only asking $400.
Also this is a sweet new section. No more of these threads cluttering the manufacture forums....

John, you should edit your post to let people know to post if they are buying or selling. This would help people give a more accurate estimate. Great forum tho! PBN needed this years ago.

A good price to start negotiations at (the seller) and a good price to negotiate too (the buyer) are different. Finding out if someone is selling or buying will help with getting a more accurate appraisal for the best all-around deal.

I think we need another rule in this forum: Don't post an offer to Buy/Sell/Trade your marker in people's appraisal threads. PM them if you must, but don't clog up the actual appraisal thread.

Figured it might need said since nobody else addressed it -- This is an appraisal thread, not a "selling advice" thread -- If someone tells you that the gun is WORTH (generally speaking) $400, then you might start your price at $450 (or $900, if you're selling it in the BST section nowadays) if you are really hoping to get $400 -- If you're looking to unload the gun quickly and just get it out of your hair, you might say "F/S $359 -- No lower". Simply put, there are countless ways you could calculate the listing price of a gun that is VALUED at $400. It would be absurd to try and list the mentalities, personality traits, and priorities (even real-life circumstances) that would lead to a final price that you end up selling for. There are simply too many factors.
Besides, what would you rather hear?
A. "Your gun is valued at or near $750 in its current condition/status"
~OR~
B. "You should list the gun for $1000."
I'd want to be told A, not B -- If someone told me B, I'd ask "But how much should I SELL it for?"
Granted, I saw a mod tell a member one time "You must post a price that you would actually take for the gun," to which the member replied "I really WOULD take $9000 for the [for argument's sake, I'll say:] Spyder!"
It would be irrational to even TRY making a forum that basically coaches unfamiliar people through a sale with the intended result being fair.
OR
tl;dr -- Wouldn't work.

Well said..... now on to actual gun/equipment appraisals.
Guns:
I have a Bob long ripper 2k5 silver/blue with virtue board, blue zcn asa, black bob long twist feedneck. It was sent to BLAST to get techd (which was a huge mistake considering they just changed the orings, detents, eyes and charged me more than $150, slapped me on the *** and said have a nice day). Still had a leak when i got the gun back. Fixed it easily day I got it back. Guns amazing cosmetically as it has all of the original jewels and hardly any damage besides some knicks on the lpr and few surface scratches. 9/10. Perfoms equally as good no leaks gun is solid.
Wgp orracle with an eblade 2 with psp, millenium, custom modes. Nexus ram, qevs, evil beavertail, shocktech cocking rod, cross ball detent, blue pneumatic hoses, black bomber drop forward asa. Needs a solenoid just found that out today.
Barrels:
Cp
dye boomstick
stiffi
Proto
Tanks: All hydroed
45/4500 crossfire black lp hardly used
45/4500 Aci bulldog w/ adj ninja reg
68/4500 ninja tank grey some cosmetic damage on the reg.
gorilla air myth 4500 regulator
Here's a link to my photobucket just scroll through I have pix of all items

Thanks for your opinions

John this is a great idea, and im glad its finally here!
I'm assuming we dont want people to post offers to others in these threads? As that is what B/S/T forums such as electronic markers, mechanical markers, miscellaneous, ETC.. is for? Or am i wrong?
