enmey in speedball?

looking to get back into the sport. I been researching a gun to buy and the enmey is really interesting to me. I plan on playing woodsball and occassionally some speedball maybe do some local tournaments. Would a enmey be able to keep up in a speedball game? I was considering the envy blackheart, but if i got the enmey i would have money to blow on good tank, hopper and upgrades.

an enmey although a great gun would not be able to keep up in speed ball matches. it is only mechanical and therefore has alternative modes other than semi. no psp or ramping modes really hurts in a speedball game when volume of shots helps a bit. don't get me wrong you can still play in a speedball game just fine. but I'd recommend the extcy if you wanted to get started on an electric gun

The above is I no way true. I've played multiple times, on the speedball field with the eNMEy and kept up just fine. You can easily stay competitive with this marker.

It is the player not the marker........But the eNMEy COULD you be used to speedball at a local filed in my opinion. Now if you are talking actual tournaments I would not suggest getting do to everyone else will have markers that are a lot more ment for tournaments...

I've seen pistol and pump players be competitive against electros in speedball but it's not common. As long as you're aware of your disadvantage and don't mind a challenge I say go for it, especially if you're just doing walk on games. If you're serious about tourney pay though I'd recommend stepping up to the eXTCy or the eNVy at minimum.

While it's likely you can play competitively with the Enmey, my only concern is if the refs will allow it. If they follow NPPL or PSP rules, they'll require the marker to have a limited rof.

Now we know the Enmey isn't gonna be blazing ropes, but from a technical standpoint, without the ability to set a rof cap, some event organizers could say nay.

Enmey is great for recball, scrims, even specific events like mech leagues or something. But nppl/psp/etc-type tourneys, maybe not.

Do you mean the eNVy? It is the electro one? (Hint: was the Vibe)
The Enmey is a mechanical marker. (Hint: mechanical version of the Vibe)
Or by chance are you talking about the eXTCy (Hint: ION with the issues fixed)

My 15 y/o son loves his ION XE (read close to eXTCy) and it has not failed once in 2 years of playing.

I have just got my enmey, and been shooting it in the yard.
Going to use it the first time this weekend, but Im already loving it.
I'm a big Automag fan, and the Enmey just might become my main marker.
I still can't believe you can get this much gun, that shoots as accurate and consistent, for so little.

Get one. You can't go wrong.

I added an aluminum clamping feedneck and an on/off ASA to mine.

There is a loophole in the ROF cap. A mechanical marker with out an air assisted or RT trigger does not have to comply with the ROF cap.

You'll be fine playing recreational woods/speedball. But if you are going to be playing in tournaments where people are ramping, you'll be at a big disadvantage.

You'll love the eNMey. I just got mine last week and I put a freak kit on it. I'm shooting a consistent 10 inch group at about 50 yards with cheap paint and HPA. I too have a lever clamp feedneck on the way.

Like Henchman said, you can't go wrong with this marker for $130.

.....and don't worry about speedballers. It's the man - not the machine. Only takes one shot to bunker those clowns while they're throwing paint at someone else.

I agree with the line of people saying yes, you can use it for recreational speedball, but not recommended for hardcore or tourney level competition. Its an excellent mechanical design and maybe with future upgrades be more of a competition capable marker but you will likely be frustrated against good or equal skilled players with mid level+ electros in a serious speedball game. Being a long time pump and mechanical player (including vs. electros) its not that you can't one ball another player, but that you would have less success laning them on break or keeping them pinned in to protect other players in a serious speedball game, which is where the real use of high ROF make a big difference, not kids doin the old spray and pray to make up for lack of skill.
