Without a hopper attachment option, I see this as an oddity in the milsim market. With the DAM out and other markers able to shoot both paintballs and first strikes, both will be needed to compete

show me some data, some hard evidence and scientific data and a video of these claims, because over on punkworks, they proved that it infact, does not have any affect. the riffled barrel can infact damage the fins. They have even recorded it and went by frame by frame to not see any difference between a riffled barrel and a regular barrel. Please, show me some facts instead of an opinion.

Why you so mad, bro? I'd hate to see how much of a temper tantrum you would throw if someone was actually insulting you.

You keep believing rifling doesnt work because some keyboard scientist said they dont work and ill keep shooting people like you.

Also, before you call someone a moron you should probably make sure you can string a sentence together properly.

I actually prefer a Hammerhead Mofo over any other barrel for normal paintballs. We did some testing and Hammerheads do in fact make First Strikes work better as well.

I don't own a First Strike marker and have only shot them a handful of times so ill concede on the 400ft remark.

I guess that does make sense. Tiberius claims a 2x range increase so I guess that roughly fits as well.
seeing how you are sponsored by hammerhead, makes your claims invalid. Perhaps if you were sponsored by BT for the apex barrel and making a claim that mofo barrels are nice, then perhaps it would hold some value to the claim you are spouting off. Riffled barrels are a marketing gimmick, and people fall for it.

Show me the hard evidence that a rifled barrel hurts the fins and the shoots of the round?

I though it did have a hopper adapter. If I remember right, the press release did mention a hopper option.

Like the stampeding hoofs of a thousand horses, the chain rained down. Relentless and methodical. The hand, clad in black layered leather and index steadily on it's rest, worked its brutal magic. At once ethereally united with the chain, yet somehow distant. Clearly it had purpose, blow after well placed blow would attest to that, yet it lacked any sense of conscious or remorse. This was not personal, not like it had been before; this had become routine – a task to be accomplished, a check box on a to-do list. Clearly this hand, this marker, had done this before, and clearly it would do it again. A different time, a different place, same result. The Carmatech SAR-12 – A Legacy of Brutality.

'Black Friday'

The wait has been long but none the less well worth each day. Carmatech Engineering is a company that strives for perfection in it's products and customer service, having such a nice piece of their work in my hands only complements this.
Each part of the SAR-12 marker is designed and made in the USA.

This is a Beta model so production models may differ slightly.

Please feel free to ask any questions about this marker as I will do my best to answer what I can for you.

lol, you ask for data and then mention Punkworks. Were you trying to be ironic or do you just take everything you see on the internet at face value?

Funny thing about that, im sponsored by Hammerhead because I want to be. I shoot just as far as an Apex or Flatline, which most everyone will agree do shoot further but have a reduced chance for breaking, however with my HH my spread is much tighter and I have a much higher chance for breaking.

When I play scenarios I break cover to trade shots with the idiots trying to long ball with Flattys and I always shoot them out first. In speedball , I can literally hold my barrel a couple inches lower than everyone else when laning the back line OTB.

Believe me or not but Hammerhead and Alien have both put out ample evidence supporting their products but because Punkworks did some shoddy testing and everyone rides his nuts most people believe spin only works when talking about Apex/Flatty. Like I said, you keep saying it doesnt work and ill keep shooting people like you out.

I can't believe that there is still SO much rambling and tit for tat about barrel length and whether rifling works or not.

The lenses are tested to extremes. They would have to be able to take more than 280 or we would be regulated at a lower fps. They wouldnt sell a lens that breaks at 290fps and market it as a 280 fps lens due to safety concerns.

Kinda surprised nobody has pointed out how much this looks like a real sniper rifle, the Remington MSR.

What if it dose? I like that look. Is no different then the t15, or 468 looking like a carbine. Finally a company making something other than a M4 or M16 look alike. They are dime a dozen. Tiberius, rap4, Milsig, scarab. Need something to stand out. I love it.

The image of the guy who as someone suggested needs
a haircut would be more realistic if he'd also wrappped
his rifle. Reminds me to much of how they show actors
playing paintball on TV, that's to say without masks. In
the real wold a sniper will have his weapon hidden as
well.

Paintball News Rules
  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
