PSP/MiLP ID Card Information
All PSP Affiliate Leagues are required to use the APPA Player ID Card system. Minor League Paintball requires all players to have either the PSP or the MiLP ID Card to play in one of our events.
MiLP ID Card
1. You can purchase the MiLP ID Card for $30 before the event deadline or for $40 at the event.
2. MiLP ID Cards can be upgraded to PSP ID card for $20.
3. MiLP ID Cards will be available for pickup at the events.
4. You must have a photo ID to pickup your MiLP ID card. No exceptions.
PSP ID Card
1. You can purchase the PSP ID Card for $50 before the event deadline or $60 at the event.
2. If you buy a PSP card, you will also get a MiLP ID card.
3. MiLP ID Cards will be available for pickup at the events.
4. PSP ID cards can only be picked up at PSP events.
5. You must have a photo ID to pickup your MiLP ID card. No exceptions.
The event deadline for ID Cards is 7 days prior to the event to allow for preparation, verification, printing and handling.
Player registration for the MiLP or the PSP can be purchased through the APPA on the event registration page as well as in your player profile under the ID Cards tab.

The APPA website is trying to charge me $40 for the ID even though it states on the same page it is $30 through the deadline. I shot them an email, but could you guys check into it please? Thanks!

Question - if I choose to have my ID upgraded to a PSP card(which would be my preference), will the PSP ID card be available for pickup at the first MiLP event? Or is it only the MiLP card and I have to do the upgrade at a PSP event?

We can currently only print MiLP cards. You have to get PSP cards at event.

Leagues have their own ID cards; however, if you purchase a PSP ID card, then all PSP affiliate leagues will accept those as forms of identifications for the event. Otherwise, you would have to purchase a league ID card, examples: MiLP, MSXL, AXBL, etc.
The PSP ID is a better buy for the players that are playing PSPs (perhaps just Cup or (a) select PSPs of their so choosing) as well as some local series that is an affiliate league of the PSP.
If you were just playing say MiLP, and you are NOT playing any PSPs this year,
then I would recommend buying just the specified leagues ID, saving yourself a few bucks.
Also, please be aware, bring some form of identification to pick up your ID card. I'm not sure if the MiLP does this, but I have been places that require you to give forth some form of identification to pick up your ID. This may be a question best left unanswered until Steve or Robby is online and able to comment.
Hope this has all been helpful.

Thanks and this is exactly right. You do have to have a photo ID to pick up your MiLP ID card.

just want to make sure I am clear, so sorry for beating a dead horse.
Since I am playing MILP event #1, if I choose to do the PSP ID option and I can't physically pick up a PSP ID until the first PSP event I would not be able to play MILP #1 without getting an actual MILP ID. ----Is that correct...
OR....can I do the PSP ID option, you guys verify that I purchased that, but I can play without having the physical PSP ID yet.
Thanks.

That is exactly correct. We will verify you have a current 2013 PSP ID on our system and you will be checked in with a photo ID (driver's license, etc.).

What if we won't be attending any PSP events until Cup? Can we continue to photo verify all season, or will we be expected to have the physical PSP ID after event the first PSP occurs?
I plan to be at Cup and so would rather have the PSP ID, but don't want to get in a spot where I have to buy both because I won't be able to pickup the physical ID until Cup.

All you have to buy is the PSP ID. You will be good. BTW, what team are you on?

Forgive me for the barrage of questions - we are a bit new to some of this - are staff required to have an ID as well or simply be registered on the roster?

Sorry for complaining, but i really wish this would be changed. I know its just a way to make money but its garbage. It sucks just to have to have an ID renewed every year at that price, but for people that are just coming to help out ?! Nonetheless, we wont have staff now cause its not worth it. We can barely find enough dedicated paintball players to play and have ID, much less the staff haha oh well... I mean a drivers license is cheaper than that and lasts longer...

The MiLP doesn't make a dime off IDs. That money goes to the APPA/PSP.
There are some changes coming regarding who is allowed in and out of the pits while on the roster. We will adopt those changes as soon as they are official.

You will get a MiLP ID at our event and you can get your PSP ID at a PSP event.
