They operate in the opinion programming of their respective networks. Why people get so up in arms about either of them is beyond me. I'm just happy not to have experienced cable news for a few years.

If that's a large hill you need to open your eyes and realize how much misinformation is being spewed by both sides. Much worse than an off the cuff uttering that's immediately refuted by the hired expert. I mean entire articles and segments devoted to bad science with poor excuses for experts.
Creationism is a hallmark of the GOP. Racebaiting is a hallmark of shockjocks on both sides. |

Lol, Bill O'Reilly got smashed by Jon Stewart (a comedian) in a debate... Also, every historian who wasted their time reading his "book" called it a joke. Hell, Ford's theater refused to sell it! Racebaiting is more a left tactic.
If it's both sides misreporting news, then (and I agree) I don't understand why people think "The Media = Fox News" and seem to specifically bash them exclusively. Actually I think we both know why people do, but it's still a bull**** standard. This isn't even about Fox being right and everyone else being wrong, it's entirely a "The Right media sucks, **** them" and that indirectly creates this illusion that CNN is a noble upstanding network, and that MSNBC is somehow decent. And going by your own logic of most media being bad, that is unacceptable.

Which historians bashed his book? He's written many books. Killing Lincoln I presume? They're viewed favorably on Amazon, but I never read it.
I bet a "Chris Matthews vs Bill O'Reilly" thread would be a lot of fun, if people could air out all the dirt on both of them. I'm sure there is more of it on O'Reilly, but he's been in the spotlight a longer time too. How bout it? You might, believe it or not, think O'Reilly is the better of the two (if even not by a lot) guys.

O'Reilly on the other hand, does have a large amount of loyal followers. And I have no clue how they all got there. I can't explain that..
