Just got a Promaster after selling my old one and regret it... I currently have a Stiffi MF barrel but was wondering if it'd be quieter with something else?

the porting on the barrel dictates how quiet it will be. more porting, the more quiet it will be. but every gun is different. i've had Lapcos on guns that where quiet on one, but loud on a different gun.

Try some of your friends' barrels during a couple of days of play. Personally, my carbon fiber sly is fairly quiet on my freestyles, but was significantly louder on my promaster.

i have Dye ULs and older one piece freak bored, Lapcos, Freak backs with St!ffi front, CP 2 piece(though i haven't really put too much paint throw that yet)and older boomsticks. some barrels shot great for certain paints or certain guns, or just that day. so try out people's barrels, and find something that you ccan try and see if you like it.

there is not one best barrel so find something that you like and stick with it.
