I have been to about 7 of these evnets and let me just say this was the best. Not because we won, but because of the planning and tactics necessary to win. Since it was all new we had to throw out the old ideas that always worked and come up with new ones. As the Axis commander, I could never allow myself the luxury of thinking I could back off. I had to keep the foot on the gas the whole weekend. The Allies did a great job (way to go Justin and Austin) of changing things up. I always felt exposed on my left. I changed tactics 3 or 4 times to keep the battle in my favor and the Axis troops were amazing at doing what I asked. Way to take an old battle and make it fresh. You missed something if you were not at this one. White River is creating new and exciting scenarios!

We've never missed the spring event. Just seems like a whole lot less chatter then normal. Not just on this thread but all games this year. I hope this is not a new trend.
I understand now. Yeah there seems to be less back and forth chatter, but at the same time Facebook is being used more. July was one of the best attended events in WRP's history and this last one drew a great crowd.
In spite of the lack of chatter on PBnation the events are growing.
One thing thinking back about the conversations leading up to the scenario and afterwards there tended to be alot of trash talking and bickering, that has dropped off bigtime minus the fun jabs between friends.
When I started getting on here a couple years ago, the tone of the threads seemed negative at times. It doesnt seem that way anymore.
So, if that is true and the majority of the content of threads was negative and now it is gone, i would say that is a good thing. We are creating a positive and fun atmosphere around the scenarios at WRP. Anyone else care to chime in?

Great point. One reason I never commented on the posts was the "bad attitudes". I did not enjoy reading most of the posts. It was one thing to kid around but many became dirty, racist and ugly. I have noticed the change not only in the posts but on the field as well. The language and sportsmanship on the field has improved because the leadership from the scenario master and refs. Generals are demanding it from their players and being examples to them on the field and in the posts.
Word will get out about what is going on at White River: There they play fair, respect their opponent, play unique scenarios, gun hard, and are RESPECTED in return, while having a great time.
