Yes, a very good turnout. Anyone have any feedback on the changes we made last night regarding reballs not leaving the field? It didn't seem to slow things down much, though keeping up with balls was a challenge (as usual. I'm afraid some of these changes are coming maybe a little late). Also, thank you to everyone who went back and picked up thier pods after thier games. It never occured to me that since they were mostly using Westmont pods instead of their own that some people would be too effing lazy to pick them up after games

The only other thing that I've seen done at other reball fields is having all the reballs available for the two teams on the field directly next to the starting gate (since there is some time in between games). So in the case of your field, the two teams that are going to play go out, fill their X amount of pods, play, then when they are done, empty their pods and hoppers in the garbage cans before they leave the field.

This way the reballs actually never leave the playing field and it makes it so that it isn't like the hunger games trying to get your pods filled before a point.

Otherwise it was a great time and I'll probably be up there more often

We can try that. I wanted to see how it would work the way we did it last week, and I felt like it was...okay. I don't know how well having barrels next to both goals will be, but we can try it. Unfortunately, thanks to unscrupulous players, our best efforts will probably be no better than "good enough." If you see me on Friday, go ahead and ask me how many reballs have been stolen from Westmont Yard in the last 2 years. It'll make you want to kick a puppy. Hopefully if we can demonstrate that we've eliminated the theft problem, the owner will consider getting some more balls.

haha. My wife and neice are going to play regular open on Mar 22, so I have gotten someone to cover my shift so I can play both regular and advanced. My wife could handle advanced, but my niece wouldn't do so well.

I can try to get the full field, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Fields 1 and 2 have been busy Friday nights the last couple of months, and going full field closes Field 2 (we use field 3). Its Westmonts call, though, they know the schedule for field 1 and 2.
