Rules, bare with me here...

OK, new to the whole UWL stuff as many already know...Trying to figure out their rules is beginning to be like an Indiana Jones quest, lol.
Correct & or help me on these....
I read today on customcockers that on a UWL 5 man team it's laid out like this per team
1= Sniper "PUMP GUN"
1= E-gun "yeah batteries"
3= Mechanical guns
So as of now is that what your allowed to have on the field??? It's totally fine with me if so cause I'd rather shoot a cocker than an E-gun honestly...

Ok, next... Bazookas...WTF, I've been playing since the early 90's, I know NOTHING about p-ball bazookas, lol...Anyone got the details on these rigs? How they are made, what they shoot, all that good stuff...And do you have those on a 5man team and even in 10man do you HAVE to have one?

Sorry about the random questions I've put on here but let's face it if you go to UWL's site the rules are sketchy at best when it comes to a lot of this stuff.

If it's true and they enforce the capped 10bps rule and no ramping then I'm playing with a mechanical cocker....I don't care what anyone says, I've always shot a mechanical cocker more accurately than anything else.
I've watched every UWL video I can find on YouTube and it seemed to me a lot of the guns on there were faster than 10bps, sounded like uncapped semi.
So what about the bazookas, I still haven't seen anything about those???

The 10 bps rule was new last year, and the Heavy is always unlimited, so you might have seen older footage or footage of the heavy gunner. Not every team uses bazooka's, but popular ones are Havoks for those teams that use them. They are pretty handy for taking out someone who's really in their bunker. I think you are allowed something like 3 shots per period or something like that. We don't use a bazooka, so I am not completely up on the rules around them.

Spartan is right. 10bps with any marker and hopper. Yes he's also right on the videos. There were different capped speeds now and then.
I went all over the 2013 rules and saw no info on launchers. I'm not sure if they're used in the 5man uwl? Anyone else see info on that?
I loved using a JCS launcher... man that thing was killer!

I also didn't see anything about the 5man having a heavy player.

4.07 Each team must have 1 Captain, 1 Scout. The scout starts the match 5 seconds before the rest of the team. This
is only at the start of a match not t the start of each period.



Am I reading it right? Just 2 positions needed and everyone capped at 10bps?

Yeah I looked at the '13 Rules and didn't see anything about the 'Zookas on there...I've also heard guys say no ramping but capped at 12.5bps but on the rules it's listed as no ramping, 10bps.

Ok good, that is what I saw too.
I haven't heard that, I've always heard 10bps semi or ramp. I also just noticed it says semi only.

Its always been semi only for all but Heavy Gunner. 10 bps is recent, and I can't recall if we had a 12.5 restriction before that or not, seems to me we went right from 15 bps hopper limited to 10 bps board limited; before that, speed was limited by the hopper, hence the hopper restrictions (which were also lifted when we went to 10 bps board limited). There may not be a zooka or Heavy in 5-man, I haven't looked at that rule set.

This is my second year on UWL
After the first year I decided to buy and practice with the rocket launcher and get as good as I could with it.
I now play on two different teams with it.
Sacramento Dirtbags (All Pump Tac Champs LA 2013) and GBD (yeah yeah).

You are only allowed 3 rockets per 10min period. A dry fire counts as one shot too.
The rocket has to be witnessed by a referee and land within 6 feet (I always thought it was 10) of an opposing player. If he's behind a bush or a bunker and it hits that, he's out.
The rocket cannot ricochet or bounce off the ground. It has to fly direct.
Any player can carry it ie, scout, Captain, heavy, infantryman.
No launcher allowed in 5 man.
They are super valuable for taking out those hard to shoot out bunkers.
Most teams use a Metadyne Havoc (more setup options).
Most teams use Nerf Vortex Rockets.
I paint my rockets pink for easy finding later.

No, you can use any gun you want, pump, mech or electro, for all of these positions, as long as they are capped at 10 bps. Not sure where CC got the above limitations.

Since I don't see Zookas listed, I would guess they aren't allowed in 5-man.

The UWL rules aren't too sketchy, they just suffer from thier rule sets being posted in other places, so when they make a change or update, all the old sets are still out there in the interwebz. OK, they can be a little sketchy.

Spartan is pretty spot on.. It started as a hopper restriction that would basically limit you to 15bps (15bps feed rate) but you could have your gun at uncapped semi (so at times you could hit rates closer to 17 or so). Then there was an over haul that allowed rotors and other loaders to be used but you would have to cap your gun at 12.5 semi or you could still use an approved loader at uncapped. Just last year it was switched to 10bps semi across the board <Again all this is excluding the Heavy who can still shoot whatever mode at whatever bps he feels>

Now on to 5 man....
5 man there is NO rocket launcher and NO heavy gunner.. The only position still in effect is the scout who only gets a 5 second head start (opposed to the 10 he gets in 10 man). bps for everyone is 10 capped still.

Thanks a ton guys, I learned more in this one thread about the rules on equipment than I have in weeks of digging around trying to figure them out...

Yep there is still a one time center objective in 5 man worth 11 points.. The hooch will only be worth points and no longer will come with a 1 man reinsert.

That is correct... BUT... I found later the 5man rules contradict them-self.

19.03 Each field will also include a center objective. This is a onetime item left at the center of the field so that both
teams have equal chance of recovery. The Center objective will not be hidden. Center objective is worth 11
points.(New for 2013. no rejuve will be awarded for center objective.)

Then later.....

23.03 individual points will be awarded as follows
- Home Base pull 15 points
- Swing base pull 7 points
- Center objective 9 points
- Win 2 points
- Loss 1 point
