ASA dosnt fit?

hey so i got a sp 1/4turn asa that dosnt want to fit onto the dove tail to my protege. Like the dovetail is to wide for the asa


any ideas?


Also, i have a protege that im considering luker ramming, anyone done this? Any change in performance? Smoothness?

Get a better ASA, the SP ones were notorious for chewing up tank threads.

I feel like the tolerances on dovetails can differ from gun to gun. I had a cocker with the superstock frame on it once that would accept a CP asa fine but trying to put on another asa led to the problem you're describing. I think you're going to need to either get a rail or get a different asa. I'd recommend a different asa.

Yea looking like i should just bite the bullet and get a BL cam drive asa

Any chance you have experience with gen5 timmys and lurker rams?

Got fed up with not having an on/off for checking my pressure, so me and my dremil fixed the issue Asa slides on and off with little force now

...I suppose that works. I'd be careful now about that chewing up your rail though.

Naw all of its smooth, i used wide sanding disks to do it. Theres a thin even layer of light between the asa and rail now that the set screws are tightened down.
